There is a new LTS version available. I am considering a side-by-side install with everything “namespaces” to The version number following the https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Conflicts.This would allow packages to move from mbedtls v 2.28 to package mbedtls3.6 As they can. v2.28 will be EOL soon (I forget the exact timeline). It’s important to note that the upstream project does not include ABI in The semantic version number, so 3.6 and 3.8 would not be ABI compatible. They also miss so version updates as well. 2024-05-07 15:18:10 <@coremodule:fedora.im> Bill Roberts: are you currently a Fedora packager? 2024-05-07 15:18:25 <@jlinton:fedora.im> This is like a @pbrobinson thing, no? 2024-05-07 15:18:28 <@wcrobert:matrix.org> Yes 2024-05-07 15:19:03 <@coremodule:fedora.im> I would make a review request and tag pbrobinson in it for the review there. 2024-05-07 15:19:33 <@coremodule:fedora.im> !link https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/New_Package_Process_for_New_Contributors/#create_your_review_request 2024-05-07 15:20:06 <@wcrobert:matrix.org> Thanks 2024-05-07 15:20:17 <@wcrobert:matrix.org> Thats what I was looking for 2024-05-07 15:20:34 <@coremodule:fedora.im> That should start the process and get the folks who need to be involved together to look at your proposal. 2024-05-07 15:21:32 <@coremodule:fedora.im> Good!
