Wow, I guess everyone is busy with Red Hat Summit.

Hey.
<@tibbs:fedora.im>
16:07:07
Someone walks into the office the second the meeting is supposed to start.
<@james:fedora.im>
16:10:01
No problem ... nobody else is here anyway ;)

16:11:06
ghost town this week for sure
<@james:fedora.im>
16:11:09
You have anything you want to talk about or bring attn. to?
<@tibbs:fedora.im>
16:11:54
Not really. I'm still trying to figure out what I think about the "unversioned library in libdir" thing that has come up recently (related to the vulkan driver thing).
<@james:fedora.im>
16:12:05
yeh
<@james:fedora.im>
16:12:44
Personally I think it'd be a lot better in a subdir that is included in the dynamic loader path (but not in the linker path) ... but also don't care enough to get a bunch of people to change their minds.
<@tibbs:fedora.im>
16:13:57
libdir is basically our system32. Everyone wants to just dump stuff in there.

16:14:17
But we're at least 20 years too late to fight that.

16:14:36
true story
<@tibbs:fedora.im>
16:17:23
Still, best guidance is "try to keep libdir itself clean of unversioned libraries" and then we list exceptions. Which is basically what was proposed in the ticket.
<@james:fedora.im>
16:20:28
Anyway ... let's all get some time back.
