    1. Thanks everyone for coming out and working during this week! (jwf, 18:37:52)
    2. http://etherpad.osuosl.org/fdocs2018 (jwf, 18:38:57)
    3. Before this, Docs project was mostly automated message for meeting that people weren't attending; we want people who were here or participating remote to keep the momentum after FAD (jwf, 18:39:23)
    4. bexelbie is great, but he is no longer able to contribute significantly to documentation (jwf, 18:40:12)
    5. If leadership isn't interesting, join the docs team! A team of enthused people is even more important than a single leader (jwf, 18:40:32)
    6. HELP: For those interested in becoming active, keep participating! Easier for bexelbie to run meetings than to spend large portion of time hacking on docs. Come to the meetings and keep working with us on putting up the docs. (jwf, 18:41:23)
    7. ryanlerch made the front page more simple and cleaned up the design (jwf, 18:42:06)
    8. https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/ (jwf, 18:42:14)
    9. mattdm: Spent a lot of time working on the Council Docs repositories, expanded on leadership for Fedora Project (jwf, 18:43:11)
    10. https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/project/leadership.html (jwf, 18:43:16)
    11. https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/project/objectives.html (jwf, 18:43:37)
    12. Objectives page is expanded with an overview and how to propose one (jwf, 18:43:58)
    13. Lists current objectives, but that was mostly wiki copypaste (jwf, 18:44:13)
    14. Most data is intended to be static in the Council Docs with minor changes each release or year (jwf, 18:44:28)
    15. langdon: Details for Objectives should be more detailed (jwf, 18:45:19)
    16. rkratky: Better header rendering between Objectives (jwf, 18:46:25)
    17. mattdm drew a lovely mindmap of the entire Fedora community! (jwf, 18:46:56)
    18. https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/project/orgchart.html (jwf, 18:47:04)
    19. By itself, hard to read: But a good representation of how the Fedora community is spread apart (jwf, 18:47:34)
    20. many pages still need work - there is still room for you to contribute (bexelbie, 18:48:31)
    21. HELP: Council Docs: "Get help!" and "Get involved!" pages need help (jwf, 18:48:34)
    22. Fedora Project leadership pages expanded with pictures and other changes to make them more personal, to show that it's a community of people behind the project (jwf, 18:50:50)
    23. https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/council/fpl.html (jwf, 18:51:06)
    24. Goal is to have this info for all Council members (jwf, 18:51:53)
    25. https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/council/fpgm.html Some pages are still unchanged and need love (jwf, 18:53:11)
    26. HELP: Policy statements being surfaced out of the wiki should be surfaced; help bexelbie and drop a line if you stumble on these things (jwf, 18:53:58)
    27. notice how we converted the tables on the FPL and FCAIC pages into definition lists - good advice (bexelbie, 18:54:29)
    28. https://screenshots.firefox.com/GYT6WlB23xl159OZ/docs.stg.fedoraproject.org (jwf, 18:56:52)

    30. New breadcrumbs: Should be more intuitive and make more sense, thanks to ryanlerch (jwf, 19:00:43)
    31. HELP: As part of the docs writing guidelines, anyone writing about proprietary / patented software should include the header / disclaimer about using software in a way that doesn't trigger lawsuits – so always include them when needed (jwf, 19:05:01)
    32. CONTEXT: quick-docs were hand-selected wiki pages based off the top search results from various search engines pointing to the Fedora wiki – they were high priority pages to migrate from the wiki into documentation (jwf, 19:07:23)
    33. x3mboy: Worked on "Installing Spotify" article in quick-docs (jwf, 19:08:06)
    34. https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/quick-docs/en-US/installing-spotify.html (jwf, 19:08:07)
    35. x3mboy: Also worked on Mindshare page, moving from wiki to docs (jwf, 19:09:24)
    36. === langdon === (jwf, 19:10:11)
    37. Wrote docs on Modularity (jwf, 19:10:16)
    38. https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/fedora-project/subprojects/fesco/en-US/index.html (jwf, 19:10:52)
    39. HELP: Need way to guide people to move their sub-project docs to the docs site now that we have some solid examples here (e.g. "I'm the Ruby SIG and how do I get my docs here?") (jwf, 19:11:31)
    40. New AsciiBinder changes by langdon are on GitHub, in progress to get them upstream (jwf, 19:12:02)

    42. === ryanlerch === (jwf, 19:17:03)
    43. before: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/f27/release-notes/sysadmin/Installation.html (bexelbie, 19:18:10)

    47. === mayorga === (jwf, 19:20:38)
    48. Modernization of GPG quick-doc, but not yet merged (needs review) (jwf, 19:20:53)
    49. https://pagure.io/fedora-docs/quick-docs/pull-request/34 (jwf, 19:21:21)
    50. http://fedora-docs-quick-docs-pr34-fedora-docs.apps.ci.centos.org/quick-docs/en-US/create-gpg-keys.html (jwf, 19:21:51)
    51. Also worked on packaging the vale linter that came up earlier at the start of the FAD; some dependencies, but hope to have done and ready soon (jwf, 19:22:40)
    52. GPG document was a modular workflow; mayorga thought it made a lot of sense because you could modify a small section and not interfere with the whole document (jwf, 19:23:06)
    53. IDEA: More organized way to work (jwf, 19:23:10)
    54. Shout-out to sassam++ for modernizing docs by testing the instructions / commands as he went and wrote docs! (jwf, 19:28:17)

    60. jwf works on the CommOps documentation (x3mboy, 19:32:50)

  5. In conclusion (jwf, 19:36:31)
    1. Thanks everyone for coming out to the Docs Fad 2018! Let's keep the momentum rolling past the FAD. (jwf, 19:36:41)
