13:01:29 <bcotton> #topic Open floor
13:04:58 * pingou waves at bcotton
13:05:17 <bcotton> hi pingou!
13:08:50 <davdunc> and same, hello bcotton and pingou I came to see what was being discussed today
13:09:01 <bcotton> welcome davdunc
13:09:26 <bcotton> we're discussing the same things we always discuss: me sitting slilently doing other work until someone shows up with a Thing To Talk About
13:09:35 <bcotton> silently, too
13:09:41 <davdunc> got it.
13:09:54 <sysoplab> hi davdunc / pingou / bcotton
13:10:10 <davdunc> hi sysoplab
13:10:21 <bcotton> wow, it's a party!
13:10:41 * bcotton should have brought more donuts (or any donuts for that matter)
13:11:26 <davdunc> next time. :D
13:11:31 <sysoplab> The neurofedora one has only a few people in it but seems fairly active at least from the perspective of someone idling the last few days
13:13:43 <bcotton> that's great news. they've done an excellent job getting (and keeping) momentum
13:14:25 <pingou> sysoplab++
13:14:25 <zodbot> pingou: Karma for sysoplab changed to 2 (for the current release cycle): https://badges.fedoraproject.org/tags/cookie/any
13:14:30 <pingou> donut++
13:14:46 <sysoplab> I don't think you could base an entire spin on i3...it's like 4 packages (bar,i3,lockscreen,dmenu) or two if you count sway and Wayland.
13:15:29 <bcotton> it's not so much about the package count as the purpose
13:15:36 <pingou> and the defaults
13:15:42 <bcotton> exactly
13:15:52 <pingou> actually, less packages may just make it easier for them to maintain :)
13:16:27 <davdunc> agreed.
13:16:28 <pingou> + iirc there were also discussing about working with another tiling window manager group
13:20:42 <sysoplab> Okay. As for the Neat with fedora I've never heard of flock but seems like a neat idea/fun time.
13:22:18 <davdunc> Flock was where people share the same space. Nest is where we shelter in place and still have an opportunity to connect.
13:25:40 <sysoplab> Back to i3 if it's about defaults I like qutebrowser as a web browser and neomutt for mail when I'm using a tiling system. Defeats the point if your hands are on your mouse half the time to interact with an app.
13:26:39 <sysoplab> Been a while since I used all tiling/text stuff though maybe better options are out now.
13:28:23 <sysoplab> cursecal was pretty good for calendar things.
13:30:39 <davdunc> bcotton: so what components of the pm process do you typically work out in this meeting? I am used to spreadsheets and roll calls when it comes to this kind of work.
13:30:39 <sysoplab> That's my only input back to the background for me.
13:31:19 <davdunc> and ... I ask rather than "use the force" by reading more meeting logs.
13:31:19 <bcotton> davdunc: i just do whatever is on my backburner. this meeting specifically is just about being available to the community
13:31:35 <davdunc> okay. That's a great thing.
13:32:41 <bcotton> every once in a while, people will come with questions or suggestions about different processes, but mostly it's either unattended or just general chit-chat, which is also good
13:33:46 <davdunc> thanks for the opportunity and I'll take advantage of it more in the future. I have some experience related questions that have been burning a hole in my pocket. I'll pop back by and discuss in a future meeting.
13:34:13 <davdunc> for now, I'll leave you to discuss other things and move on to my next meeting. :D
13:34:14 <bcotton> i look forward to it :-)
13:35:01 <davdunc> :) thanks.
13:35:18 <davdunc> bcotton++
13:35:18 <zodbot> davdunc: Karma for bcotton changed to 13 (for the current release cycle): https://badges.fedoraproject.org/tags/cookie/any
13:58:07 <bcotton> okay, it's about that time. thanks everyone!
