14:01:38 <bcotton> #topic Open floor
14:02:29 <Southern_Gentlem> **fingers crossed **
14:02:52 <copperi[m]> I had a question
14:03:22 <copperi[m]> now I remember
14:04:24 <copperi[m]> Is there a staging area for docs, where you can publicly preview proposal with several people
14:05:32 <bcotton> copperi[m]: yes!
14:05:49 <bcotton> copperi[m]: https://docs.stg.fedoraproject.org/en-US/docs/
14:06:05 <bcotton> it's not entirely straightforward though
14:06:41 <bcotton> you have to add it to the yml file in the stg branch of docs.fp.o, and by default it will build from your repo's deafult branch
14:06:49 <bcotton> you can set it to build from a stg branch instead
14:07:33 <bcotton> i proposed configuring docs.stg.fp.o to automatically build from the stg branch of source repos, but the consensus was that it was too much work for not enough benefit (e.g. most people wouldn't use it that way)
14:07:57 <bcotton> alternatively, if it's net new docs, you can build it in prod and just not link to it anywhere until folks have reviewed it
14:07:59 <bcotton> does that help?
14:08:49 <copperi[m]> Yes, do I have write access to yaml ?
14:11:54 <bcotton> not directly, i don't think, but you can submit a PR to https://pagure.io/fedora-docs/docs-fp-o
14:12:45 <bcotton> or if you let me know what you need to add, i can push the changes
14:12:56 <copperi[m]> https://pagure.io/fedora-server/tree/main/docs
14:13:18 <bcotton> do you want it added to stg or directly to prod?
14:13:28 <copperi[m]> It is being built, so stg for now
14:13:43 <bcotton> ok. stand by
14:17:54 <copperi[m]> Once ready for production it would be nice to get something like Fedora IoT button currently on front page, but that requires some design changes ?
14:20:27 <bcotton> it should be pretty straightforward to add, but i'd have to look at how that page is built
14:22:19 <bcotton> well i just pushed the config change to stg, but now i see it hasn't built since last june
14:23:30 <bcotton> i'll follow up on that. if we can't get those builds going again, then i'll make the change on prod and we just won't link to it from anywhere
14:23:34 <copperi[m]> cron job once a year ?
14:24:13 <copperi[m]> That will work as well
14:27:02 <bcotton> :-D
