16:00:21 <pwhalen> morning folks, whos here today?
16:01:23 <dgilmore> kinda
16:01:58 <pwhalen> morning dgilmore :)
16:02:52 <pwhalen> morning folks, just waiting for more people to join. we'll give it a few minutes
16:05:39 <pwhalen> pbrobinson is out this week. shall we go ahead?
16:06:52 <pwhalen> ok, its been a couple of weeks since the last meeting lets go through it..
16:07:01 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
16:07:33 <pwhalen> anyone aware of any issues?
16:08:27 <jlinton> Nothing new, although the firefox issue remains
16:08:54 <pwhalen> there was an issue with glibc on aarch64
16:09:21 <pwhalen> jlinton, right, i think we need to update that if possible. will see if there is another release..
16:10:46 <pwhalen> #info glibc issue on aarch64 now fixed. ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1400347 )
16:11:19 <pwhalen> anyone aware of any other issues?
16:11:42 <pwhalen> ok, moving on..
16:11:45 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
16:12:29 <cov> SPCR still doesn't appear to be in rawhide
16:12:34 * cov should send a patch
16:12:47 <jlinton> Well on the "new" status, is that nouveau doesn't work with 64k pages
16:12:59 <cov> http://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/tty.git/commit/?h=tty-next&id=10879ae5f12e9cab3c4e8e9504c1aaa8a033bde7
16:13:06 <pwhalen> we have a couple issues with 4.8.x on the apm mustang, intermittent connectivity and an issue with reboot on 4.8.8
16:14:19 <pwhalen> #info Mustang does not reboot/shutdown since installing kernel-4.8.8-300.fc25 ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1398441 )
16:14:52 <pwhalen> #info APM Mustang intermittent connectivity issues on eth0 using 4.8.x ( https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1401998 )
16:16:05 <pwhalen> jlinton, doesnt work *yet*?
16:16:59 <pwhalen> I noticed that we have a 512M cma reservation on aarch64 a few ago that can't be overridden
16:17:19 <jlinton> pwhalen, with regard to nouveau? Correct, there is a long standing problem with the driver using the kernel page size, as the page size on the card..
16:17:20 <pwhalen> few *weeks
16:17:33 <pwhalen> :(
16:17:47 <jlinton> pwhalen, although the cards use 4k pages
16:18:00 <pwhalen> we also lose half the ram on SBC's
16:19:17 <pwhalen> we'll have to come back to this. I've noted it for future discussions when we have more folks here
16:19:44 <pwhalen> #info Latest kernel-4.9.0-0.rc8.git0.1.fc26
16:19:45 <pwhalen> #link http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=822933
16:19:53 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
16:20:22 <pwhalen> I've tested the kernel on a bunch of boards. Not seeing anything new (yet?)..
16:20:36 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
16:20:53 <pwhalen> #info Latest - uboot-tools-2016.11-2.fc26
16:21:02 <pwhalen> #link http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=821153
16:21:35 <cov> 4.9 from yesterday works on qdf2400 other than missing SPCR (have to manually specify console=ttyAMAn)
16:21:35 <pwhalen> not much testing on this yet, please fire up your favourite board and give it a try ..
16:21:41 <cov> I mean qdf2432
16:22:28 <pwhalen> cov, if you could forward that patch for review, that'd be awesome
16:22:41 <cov> pwhalen: will do
16:22:46 <pwhalen> thx
16:23:33 <pwhalen> anything else for bootloaders? any other issues?
16:24:00 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Rawhide Testing ====
16:24:00 <pwhalen> #info Testing so far: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Fedora_26_Rawhide_20161202.n.2_Summary
16:24:15 <pwhalen> rawhide is pretty broken right now
16:25:39 <pwhalen> #info Rawhide armhfp installs and disk images failing due to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1401172
16:25:39 <pwhalen> #info Minimal image and installations completed successfully.
16:26:19 <pwhalen> #info Fedora 26 Schedule:

16:26:48 <pwhalen> #info 2017-01-31 Change Checkpoint: Proposal submission deadline (System Wide Changes)
16:26:48 <pwhalen> #info 2017-02-01 	Mass Rebuild

16:26:57 <pwhalen> #link Full schedule - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/26/Schedule
16:27:13 <rric> pwhalen: I have reported this bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1400045
16:27:25 <cov> what kernel is likely to be used?
16:27:39 <rric> pwhalen: this is a crash of anaconda if no network is present
16:29:25 <pwhalen> rric, does it crash with the server iso? (not netinstall)
16:30:04 <rric> I think so, it is not specific to netinstall
16:30:34 <rric> the vnc need to be present
16:30:46 <rric> or at least network for it
16:30:50 <pwhalen> ok, I'll try here.. netinstall wouldnt work of course, but shouldnt crash
16:31:02 <hrw> o/
16:31:14 <jlinton> Speaking of anaconda issues, there is this too: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1395350
16:31:18 <rric> right, netinstall w/o network makes no sense
16:33:21 <pwhalen> but shouldnt crash
16:33:46 <pwhalen> cov, I think 4.10 but we'd need to check with a kernel expect (I pinged but waiting on a response)
16:33:55 <pwhalen> *expert
16:34:39 <pwhalen> cov, ok, 4.11 if the schedule works out
16:35:02 <cov> pwhalen: cool, thanks
16:35:27 <pwhalen> jlinton, thanks for filing that BZ
16:36:54 <pwhalen> #topic 5) == Open Floor ==
16:37:58 <pwhalen> All I had for today. With the holidays fast approaching we'll likely cancel meetings on the 20th and 27th
16:38:15 <dgilmore> the 27th for sure
16:38:18 <pwhalen> any objections?
16:38:20 <dgilmore> the 20th maybe
16:38:58 <pwhalen> ok. we'll decide next week, see what folks are up to for the holiday break.
16:39:16 <jlinton> Just a followup to my gjs comment a couple weeks ago. Turns out that the backtrace functionality (and to a lesser extend the iterator changes) make the gjs move to 38 larger than I expected
16:40:10 <jlinton> I still haven't solved the backtrace problems (aka the API was removed without a replacement), I think the gnome people mentioned this in the defect
16:41:23 <pwhalen> ok, thanks for working on it, and the update jlinton
16:42:30 <pwhalen> ..last call for open floor
16:44:08 <pwhalen> #endmeeting
