15:09:08 <jlinton> So in the end, if that doesn't happen RSN we should probably drop the first inflate patch.

15:19:25 <jlinton> (to back up to kernel a bit, to me the "No GUI desktop" bug sounds like the CMA bug showing up again
15:20:12 <jlinton> The original bug appeared/disappeared the same way. It would show up a few times, and the slightest machine change would make it go away

15:21:28 <pbrobinson> jlinton: i suspect the actual cause of it in that context is that a bunch of the DT bits for mali have landed upstream but the LIMA stuff isn't yet in mesa

15:22:08 <pbrobinson> and there's been a bunch of allwinner enablement stuff in recent kernels around various display bits so I think it's working better than it did before
