15:00:22 <pwhalen> who's here today?
15:00:36 <jlinton> good morning
15:02:00 <pwhalen> good morning jlinton
15:02:47 * pwhalen gives it another minute for others to join
15:03:36 * pbrobinson o/
15:03:48 <pbrobinson> morning jlinton
15:04:46 <pwhalen> ok, lets get started
15:04:49 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:05:14 <pwhalen> think we're are looking ok here, anyone find any new issues?
15:05:31 <pbrobinson> nothing in userspace I'm aware of
15:05:36 <jlinton> No, so far Its been working far better than other releases.
15:05:37 <pwhalen> good! :)
15:05:45 <pbrobinson> w00t!
15:05:46 <pwhalen> very good jlinton
15:06:01 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:06:31 <pbrobinson> nothing really of note here
15:06:45 <pwhalen> kernel is also looking pretty good, we had an armv7 virt issue thats was closed with 4.18.9. anything else?
15:07:20 <pbrobinson> I've done a bunch of polish this week, note the 4.11.10 kernel is likely broken for allwinner a64 devices, you want the 4.18.11-301 build to fix that
15:08:05 <pwhalen> #info 4.11.10 kernel is likely broken for allwinner a64 devices, 4.18.11-301 should fix it.
15:08:15 <pwhalen> #info F29: kernel-4.18.11-301.fc29
15:08:16 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1148906
15:08:24 <pwhalen> #info F30:  kernel-4.19.0-0.rc6.git0.1.fc30
15:08:24 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1148951
15:08:32 <pbrobinson> #info please testing the kernel-4.18.11-301.fc29 and the linux-firmware-20180913-87.git44d4fca9.fc29 combo well!
15:09:16 <pwhalen> testing rc6 looks ok as well. lpae kernel on various boards provides no console output
15:09:41 <pwhalen> only board that gives output, is the rpi3..
15:10:18 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:10:52 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:11:51 <pwhalen> I think pbrobinson is planning a new uboot build.. anything else to note here?
15:12:29 <pbrobinson> there will be a new u-boot build probably later today
15:12:53 <pbrobinson> and uboot 2018.11 RC1 it out, that will go to rawhide sometime after the new u-boot build
15:13:03 <pbrobinson> new .09 build
15:13:17 <pwhalen> and barring any issues, will this be our GA?
15:13:39 <pbrobinson> the new .09 build should be the GA build yes
15:13:44 <pbrobinson> so please test it :)
15:13:53 <pwhalen> definitely! :)
15:14:04 <pbrobinson> I'll send details of all the bits to test to both IRC and the mailing list once I know the final details
15:14:32 <pwhalen> #info New uboot build expected later today, barring any issues this will be used for the F29 Final release. Please test and report any issues!
15:14:45 <pwhalen> thanks
15:15:01 <pwhalen> anything else?
15:16:25 <pwhalen> #topic 4) == F29 ==
15:16:25 <pwhalen> #info Latest nominated nightly - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Current_Installation_Test
15:17:04 <pwhalen> #info Final freeze begins 2018-10-09 (one week from today)
15:17:47 <pwhalen> #info Target F29 Final release 2018-10-23
15:18:29 <pwhalen> looking pretty good so far. we have a couple issues to solve
15:18:42 <jlinton> I'm going to try a clean install on the hikey today, I suspect it still has the SD boot problem but the kernel/etc has been working fine.
15:19:09 <pwhalen> #info Armv7 guest fails to boot with qemu-3.0.0-1
15:19:37 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1633328
15:19:52 <pwhalen> jlinton, thanks, let us know if you hit any issues
15:20:09 <pbrobinson> jlinton: great, might have to get your latest firmware off you so I can upgrade mine
15:21:11 <jlinton> I think the one on github is the one I'm using, but its in need of some TLC, and probably some effort pulling it forward to the latest edk2
15:21:41 <jlinton> although i'm not sure what that buys the Hikey at the moment, spending time trying to get secureboot or similar working might be more useful for that firmware image.
15:23:08 <pbrobinson> jlinton: yes please on the secure-boot, especially if we can also mirror what x86 is doing in tianocore for virt too
15:23:57 <pwhalen> that would be awesome
15:23:59 <jlinton> Yah, that might be something worth looking at, outside of the hikey
15:24:56 <pwhalen> anything else for f29?
15:25:59 <pwhalen> #topic 5)  == Open Floor ==
15:27:58 * pwhalen leaves the meeting open for a couple of minutes
