15:00:27 <pwhalen> good morning folks, who's here today?
15:00:38 * pbrobinson o/
15:01:06 * stellirin waves
15:03:13 <tdawson> Hi
15:05:21 <pwhalen> lets get started..
15:05:34 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:05:42 <pwhalen> any new user space issues?
15:06:04 <pbrobinson> jlinton provided an update on firefox in the bug, it looks like he's getting close
15:06:26 <pwhalen> excellent news
15:06:52 <pwhalen> should we consider adding a browser to images missing one due to firefox?
15:08:15 <pwhalen> something to consider anyways
15:08:47 <pbrobinson> possibly, most of the rest aren't great, maybe epiphany
15:09:13 <pwhalen> I was thinking midori, but xfce I believe moved off it due to issues so I dont know the state of it
15:09:33 <pbrobinson> it was high on my terrible list TBH
15:09:42 <pbrobinson> but what ever, doesn't overly bother me
15:10:00 <pwhalen> heh, will take a look as I test the desktop images this week. was hoping for something like chromium but its not built on arm either
15:10:07 <pwhalen> ok, any other user space issues?
15:10:48 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:10:54 <pwhalen> #info F30: kernel-5.0.0-300.fc30
15:10:55 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1219993
15:11:13 <pbrobinson> it just made it into freeze
15:11:23 <pbrobinson> it looks OK in a few bits of testing I've done
15:11:24 <pwhalen> we have 5.0 GA now, has anyone has a chance to test?
15:11:39 <pbrobinson> I have on a few RPi3 type devices
15:12:19 <pwhalen> I've booted it on a number of devices here as well- rpi3, wandboard, mustang, p64
15:12:37 <pwhalen> not seeing any backtraces of note, basic functionality looks good
15:13:50 <pwhalen> so we're looking pretty good kernel wise (so far..)
15:14:18 <pbrobinson> yes, a few issues I'd seen in the RCs I'm no longer seeing which is good
15:14:18 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:14:24 <pwhalen> agreed
15:14:39 <tdawson> How soon until we get it in an image ... or did I not grab the latest compose
15:14:55 <pbrobinson> should be in today's compose
15:15:05 <pbrobinson> correction, tomorrow's
15:15:11 <pwhalen> if it finishes.. been some issues as of late
15:15:32 <tdawson> Ok, the compose I have is from March 1 ... I'll keep an eye out for the next one.
15:16:01 <pwhalen> tdawson, thats the latest nominated for testing, and I think the last that finished
15:16:13 <pwhalen> todays failed
15:17:02 <pwhalen> KDE x86
15:18:45 <pwhalen> so not an arm issue, but not immediately see why
15:19:05 <pwhalen> any other kernel issues?
15:19:32 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:19:45 <pwhalen> #info uboot-tools-2019.04-0.4.rc3.fc30
15:19:45 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1220774
15:19:53 <pbrobinson> nrw 2019.04rc3 building today
15:19:55 <pwhalen> looks like we got a new uboot building
15:20:24 <pwhalen> anything of note in this one?
15:21:01 <pbrobinson> just test widely, had a few minor issues reported with rc2, so would like to know if they're fixed
15:21:26 <pwhalen> right, one from the mailing list comes to mind
15:21:42 <pwhalen> that was the cubieboard2, any others?
15:22:29 * pwhalen will try cubietruck and bananapi today as well
15:23:57 <pwhalen> #topic 4) == F30 ==
15:24:24 <pbrobinson> we're now in beta freeze
15:24:34 <pwhalen> #info Beta Freeze is today (2019-03-05)
15:25:05 <pwhalen> #info Target F30 Beta Release 2019-03-26
15:25:38 <pwhalen> #info Latest nominated nightly - https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Current_Installation_Test
15:26:01 <pwhalen> no issues so far in testing.. we lost SOAS
15:27:54 <pbrobinson> please look down the back of the couch
15:28:05 <pbrobinson> so the UEFI on ARMv7 feature is almost done
15:28:17 <pwhalen> \o/
15:28:20 <pbrobinson> I just have a bug (maybe 2) in grub2 to fix
15:28:32 <pbrobinson> well to work with the maintainers to fix
15:28:36 <tdawson> I can finally see things in my console for RPi3 ... glad for that.
15:29:06 <pbrobinson> tdawson: on which thing?
15:29:14 * pwhalen is also wondering
15:29:22 <pwhalen> iot?
15:29:32 <tdawson> spins
15:29:51 <tdawson> Fedora-Minimal-armhfp-30-20190301.n.0-sda.raw.xz
15:30:46 <tdawson> Is it not working for others? (I haven't tried the IoT image yet)
15:31:02 <pwhalen> should be working on everything but recent iot
15:31:06 <pbrobinson> I've never had issues on the standard arm minimal on any RPi
15:31:44 <tdawson> For the F30, nothing came out of HDMI, which made setting itup a problem ... there's a bugzilla for it.
15:32:34 <pwhalen> do you have a link by chance?
15:33:34 <tdawson> Looking it up ... but now I'm wondering if it was IoT images that were doing it to me ...
15:34:06 <pwhalen> I think it was, but I'll test to make sure..
15:34:38 * pwhalen hopes it was
15:34:54 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:35:05 <pwhalen> #info F30 Beta Blockers
15:35:05 <pwhalen> #link https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/milestone/30/beta/buglist
15:35:57 <pwhalen> none of the issues are specific to arm
15:36:09 <pwhalen> anything else for f30?
15:36:48 <pwhalen> #topic 5)  == Open Floor ==
15:37:26 <stellirin> on my calendar I have next week as a 'fedora test week', is that still a thing?
15:37:57 <stellirin> tbh I don't remember the source of that anymore
15:38:17 <pwhalen> yes, I think various test days are scheduled.. we have an iot one scheduled next Weds (that I need to get the tests ready for)
15:39:15 <tdawson> pwhalen: pbrobinson: It was IoT ... still haven't found the bug though, but found the discussion. Looks like I was getting my images mixed up.
15:39:35 <stellirin> ok, i plan to use this weekend to bring up my cluster again so I will be testing
15:39:39 <pwhalen> thank goodness.. and its very easy to mix it all up..I do it all the time
15:40:09 <pwhalen> great stellirin, appreciate the help
15:40:51 <pbrobinson> tdawson: so you have console on IoT for 30? Or 29?
15:41:37 <tdawson> pbrobinson: F29, yes, I have console. IoT F30 ... haven't tested the latest images yet, will be doing that today
15:42:16 <pbrobinson> tdawson: OK, so console on f29-iot, which image did you flash?
15:43:46 <pwhalen> for those not testing iot, console issues on the rpi3 are our remaining blocker for a release 2 of f29
15:45:00 <tdawson> pbrobinson: Looks like for F29 IoT, I only have the december image, so the official one ... until this week, I'd been spending my IoT time getting gateway working. The only IoT image testing I did was F30 releases.
15:45:34 <tdawson> pbrobinson: But if you want me to test the latest IoT F29 image, I can pull that down and start testing it today.
15:45:35 <pwhalen> ok, thanks tdawson
15:46:04 <pwhalen> anything else for open floor?
