15:00:20 <pwhalen> #topic roll call
15:00:20 <pwhalen> good morning folks, who's here today?
15:00:29 * jlinton waves
15:01:59 * pbrobinson is here
15:02:29 <pwhalen> ok, lets get started
15:02:36 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:02:42 <pwhalen> Any new issues?
15:03:08 <pbrobinson> jlinton: what was the latest on the PAC/BTI change?
15:03:54 <jlinton> I don't know, I thought it was still in a holding pattern, I need to check my email this morning/etc.
15:04:36 <pwhalen> I didnt see too much on the mailing list, has there been any push back?
15:05:31 <jlinton> There were some questions of performace loss,
15:06:09 <jlinton> which should be insigificant but I don't think I can be making blanket statements that there won't be anything meaningful across all future cores
15:07:18 <jlinton> At the moment the inhouse perf analysis states the worse case is pretty tiny (less than 1%), but that is based on current ARM cores, not partner cores
15:07:29 <pbrobinson> well I suppose if there is there's incentives to look at them to see if/where it can be optimised for each platform
15:07:53 <jlinton> Plus, of course we can kernel level/etc disable it per machine if needed.
15:08:33 <pbrobinson> right
15:10:35 <pwhalen> Looks like fesco meets on Mondays, so likely discussed and decided next week.
15:11:31 <pwhalen> Anything else
15:11:32 <pwhalen> ?
15:12:03 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:12:03 <pwhalen> #info Latest kernel-5.7.0-0.rc7.1.fc33
15:12:03 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1511257
15:12:38 <pwhalen> Any issues with 5.7 rc6 last week?
15:13:26 <pwhalen> looking ok for me on both arm/aarch64
15:14:14 <pbrobinson> I'll be starting to test as I get my lab back up this week
15:14:51 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:15:15 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:16:06 <pbrobinson> there's a new u-boot RC, should have a build by the end of the week
15:16:09 <pwhalen> Looks like we got a new grub2 in F33, grub2-2.04-21.fc33. Seems ok so far.
15:16:40 <pwhalen> #info New U-boot RC expected this week.
15:18:20 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Fedora 33 ====
15:18:20 <pwhalen> #link https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Current_Installation_Test
15:18:58 <pwhalen> aarch64 is looking ok so far, armhfp however is doa
15:19:08 <pwhalen> #info systemd crashes when booting rawhide on armhfp
15:19:08 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1831239
15:20:04 <pwhalen> I moved this to glibc yesterday, its reproducible in F32 by installing the rawhide glibc
15:20:05 <jlinton> The compiler got upgraded to 10.1 too?
15:21:22 <pwhalen> F33/32 got 10.1 may 8th, so this is prior
15:22:46 <pwhalen> Would be great if someone could look at that one above.
15:24:23 <jlinton> I will try an spin it up in a vm later today if I get a chance.
15:24:51 <pwhalen> jlinton: thanks! greatly appreciated.
15:25:03 <pwhalen> Anything else for f33?
15:27:07 <pwhalen> #topic 5)  == Open Floor ==
