15:00:32 <pwhalen> #topic roll call
15:00:44 <pwhalen> Good morning folks, who's here today?
15:00:53 * pbrobinson is o/ (but AFK for 2 mins)
15:01:58 * jlinton waves
15:04:28 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:04:39 <pwhalen> Any new user space issues?
15:06:17 <jlinton> Not here, although sorta related.
15:06:40 <jlinton> There is a move to deprecate some older crypto algorithmns in the kernel, with CONFIG_CRYPTO_USER_API_ENABLE_OBSOLETE
15:07:04 <jlinton> so, we (I?) need to verify that we don't break anything when that flag gets flipped.
15:07:05 <pbrobinson> jlinton: is that the stuff that Ard has been driving?
15:07:07 <jlinton> Yes
15:08:03 <pbrobinson> WEP! Good riddance?
15:10:33 <pbrobinson> jlinton: is that stuff that's exposed by libkcapi or is there other means of using this stuff?
15:10:52 <jlinton> anything using AF_ALG afaik, could be using
15:11:24 <jlinton> libkcapi/etc sits on that inteface, so yes.
15:11:50 <pwhalen> is this happening in 5.10?
15:11:56 <jlinton> Ard mentioned an RC4 user, iwd, which has been updated.
15:12:19 <jlinton> Yes 5.10 is where the config option should appear, but it will initiall default to "y" and we need to explicity disable it.
15:12:37 <pbrobinson> jlinton: yes, I saw the iwd thread, and I think that was for WEP or similar
15:13:15 <pbrobinson> jlinton: we could enable (disable) them in rawhide and send out a "heads up" to devel/test lists and see what breaks there
15:13:38 <pbrobinson> maybe a f34 change to make people more aware of it
15:14:37 <jlinton> Yes, I was going to run it a bit to see if anything obvious failed.
15:16:46 <pwhalen> Sounds good, we'll revisit next week.
15:16:54 <pwhalen> Anything else for user space issues?
15:17:29 <pbrobinson> not that I can think of
15:17:41 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:17:50 <pwhalen> #info kernel-5.9.0-36.fc34
15:17:50 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1623774
15:19:50 <pwhalen> I tested 5.9 rc8 a bit a last week, focused on enterprise hardware. Found we were missing the xgene pmu patch, I believe pbrobinson pulled that in from upstream and replaced the one in F33 as well
15:20:23 <pwhalen> otherwise all seemed ok.
15:20:27 <pbrobinson> I will pull it into 5.9 once we get a stabilisation branch
15:20:42 <pwhalen> ah. ok, thanks
15:21:13 <pwhalen> Any other kernel issues?
15:22:42 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:22:51 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:23:01 <pwhalen> #info Latest U-Boot available for testing -  uboot-tools-2020.10-1.fc33
15:23:01 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1621686
15:23:10 <pbrobinson> we should have a new shim this week some time
15:23:25 <pbrobinson> which should fix a few aarch64 issues we've seen
15:23:28 <pwhalen> I havent tested the uboot GA, will do so today
15:23:48 <pbrobinson> I'll send an email to list once it's there for verification
15:23:55 <pwhalen> #info New shim should be available this week.
15:24:02 <pwhalen> thanks
15:24:07 <pbrobinson> I likely need to do a new u-boot build to fix an issue with rockchips
15:24:29 <pwhalen> ok, do you plan on a FE for it?
15:26:33 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:26:43 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Fedora 33 ====

15:26:54 <pwhalen> #info List of blockers - https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/milestone/33/final/buglist
15:27:38 <pbrobinson> pwhalen: we already have it, I'll edit the bodhi update with the new build
15:28:03 <pwhalen> right. Thanks.
15:29:48 <pwhalen> All the armhfp disk images are now available in F33 and we've added uefi enabled images now for a few (Server, Minimal and Workstation)
15:30:19 <pbrobinson> they're basically test preview ATM
15:30:42 <pbrobinson> thanks for jlinton for his assistance here, it's good to get that closed out
15:30:55 <pwhalen> the container images are also back.
15:31:01 <pwhalen> jlinton++
15:31:06 <pwhalen> pbrobinson++
15:31:39 <pbrobinson> yes! and I filed a ticket to ensure they're in the sync list
15:32:01 <pwhalen> awesome. I'll test those today
15:32:31 <pbrobinson> I'm not sure what has been synced as yet
15:32:53 <pwhalen> I was out yesterday but I get the sense we'll slip a week for final
15:33:41 <pwhalen> Anything else for F33? Concerns?
15:33:50 <pbrobinson> nothing of real note from me
15:34:59 <pwhalen> #topic 5)  == Open Floor ==
15:36:23 * jsmith has nothing for the open floor
15:36:35 <pwhalen> nor do I
