15:00:22 <pwhalen> good morning folks, who's here today?
15:01:06 * coremodule is here, good morning pwhalen
15:02:13 <pwhalen> hey coremodule
15:02:27 <pwhalen> giving it a few minutes for others to join
15:03:11 * jlinton waves
15:03:23 <pwhalen> good to see you jlinton, hope all is well
15:04:19 <pwhalen> ok, lets get started.
15:04:26 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Userspace Status  ====
15:04:52 <pwhalen> Any new issues in F33?
15:05:47 <pwhalen> #info No new issues reported.
15:05:57 <coremodule> to be honest, i haven't tested f33 on arm in several weeks
15:06:45 <pwhalen> I'm running some machines, but headless for the most part. I do virt testing on some rpi4's
15:07:12 <coremodule> one day i want to pick your brain to get your workflow
15:07:23 <pbrobinson> sorry I'm late
15:07:34 <pwhalen> So I dont really test graphics, I want to change that though by running aarch64 on my daily driver
15:07:35 <pbrobinson> no issues I'm aware of
15:07:38 <pwhalen> howdy pbrobinson
15:07:49 <coremodule> hey pbrobinson
15:08:01 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:08:34 <pwhalen> big news this week.. armhfp in virt is working, so we have our disk images back
15:08:46 <pwhalen> #info kernel-5.11.0-156.fc34
15:08:46 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1710935
15:09:09 <pwhalen> #info Fixes armhfp virt issues. Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:09:10 <jlinton> Good job!
15:09:34 <coremodule> woot
15:10:35 <pwhalen> Anything else to highlight?
15:11:35 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:12:26 <pwhalen> #info uboot-tools-2021.04-0.3.rc2.fc34
15:12:26 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=1711269
15:13:40 <pwhalen> We have an f34 build now, I've been testing it on a bunch of hardware. No real showstoppers, but a couple of small issues like no working usb in uboot on some devices
15:14:19 <pwhalen> Has anyone else had time to test, seen any other issues?
15:15:21 <coremodule> i have tested for boot without any failures but haven't test much more beyond that
15:16:19 <pwhalen> that's all most people are going to do, so a great help. thanks :)
15:16:25 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to the list or #fedora-arm.
15:16:34 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Fedora 34 ====
15:16:44 <pwhalen> #info Beta Freeze Today (2021-02-23)
15:16:57 <pwhalen> #info Beta Release (Preferred Target) - 2021-03-16
15:17:44 <pwhalen> #info Latest nominated compose

15:18:31 <pwhalen> looking ok so far
15:19:04 <pwhalen> for armhfp I think the biggest issue I've seen is
15:19:08 <pwhalen> #info systemd-oomd.service: Failed with result 'core-dump'
15:19:08 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1930875
15:20:31 <pwhalen> I'll nominate that as a blocker
15:20:55 <pbrobinson> the UEFI on ARMv7 stuff landed
15:22:43 <pwhalen> #info ARMv7 UEFI change landed. ( https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/ARMv7UEFI )
15:23:18 <pwhalen> Seeing some cosmetic issues when booting on some devices, but it does boot ok.
15:23:50 <pwhalen> I saw that on the Bananapro and I believe I've also seen it on others
15:24:38 <pwhalen> other SBC specific bugs, Jetson nano boots ok, but has issues with graphics
15:24:46 <pwhalen> #info [abrt] gnome-shell: nouveau_fence_signalled(): gnome-shell killed by SIGSEGV
15:24:46 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1930977
15:25:28 <pwhalen> #info [abrt] xorg-x11-server-Xorg: System(): Xorg killed by SIGABRT
15:25:28 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1930978
15:25:57 <pbrobinson> yes, it will need more polish
15:27:28 <pwhalen> other issues I saw, we have both lpae and the vanilla kernel installed on the armv7 disk images
15:27:46 <pbrobinson> yes, I'm undecided if that's a problem or not
15:28:21 <pwhalen> same. In one case booting with lpae gave us working usb on the rpi4 iirc in F33
15:28:46 <jlinton> I can spin that kernel/etc up on the GT710
15:28:59 <pwhalen> Rpi4-8GB, rpi4-400 no USB. Graphics worked ok
15:29:00 <jlinton> so, nouveau has been working there
15:29:53 <pwhalen> great, I think that one is just the nano. I need to test workstation on the pine64 too.
15:29:55 <jlinton> is the XHCI showing up on the rpi?
15:31:22 <pwhalen> Would need to check
15:31:30 <jlinton> (via lspci)
15:31:36 <pbrobinson> I need to push a patch for 5.11
15:31:54 <pbrobinson> I actually have a handful patches I need to push, but I was having issues with branches etc
15:32:11 <pbrobinson> planning on doing those in the next day or so
15:32:48 <pwhalen> awesome, thanks pbrobinson
15:32:50 <jlinton> The rpi foundation has a fix the PFTF asked for which honors the firmware/OS's PCIe configuration, it would have solved a bunch of these problems in uboot/linux had they done it earlier, not sure it would help here, but it might.
15:32:52 <pwhalen> pine64 no usb in uboot, but it boots ok, XFCE worked.
15:34:09 <pbrobinson> jlinton: yep, they've not pushed that firmware yet to the main repo
15:34:09 <jlinton> https://github.com/raspberrypi/firmware/files/5983076/bar2-fw.zip
15:34:12 <pwhalen> oh right, KDE had issues too, need to test that again. There was a bug I needed to file
15:34:44 <jlinton> Thats their expermental build of the firmware with the fix.
15:34:46 <pbrobinson> pwhalen: isn't the maintainer supposed to be dealing with KDE ;-)
15:34:54 <pbrobinson> jlinton: I'm on that bug
15:35:19 <pbrobinson> they said they would push a firmware last week, I think they said it had been internally but it's not made it out yet
15:35:20 <pwhalen> pbrobinson: indeed, but I wanted to see how it looked.. :)
15:36:50 <pwhalen> I'm testing all the enterprise stuff today, so might have some more
15:37:07 <pbrobinson> pwhalen++ great
15:38:24 <pwhalen> #info List of accepted beta blockers - https://qa.fedoraproject.org/blockerbugs/milestone/34/beta/buglist
15:39:28 <pwhalen> "Gnome session fails to start with "Oops, something went wrong" on first boot" - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1924908
15:40:02 <pwhalen> I saw that on the rpi4-4gb, but initial-setup does come up on top of it
15:40:31 <pwhalen> I think thats it.
15:40:46 <jlinton> did you try with selinux=0?
15:40:59 <pbrobinson> yes, I saw that on a rockchip device too
15:41:30 <pwhalen> jlinton: I didnt, just completed initial-setup
15:41:48 <pwhalen> definitely lots of AVC's when testing
15:42:27 <pwhalen> #topic 5)  == Open Floor ==
15:42:42 <pwhalen> Anything else for open floor?
