15:01:01 * jlinton waves
15:01:07 * pwhalen waves back
15:01:30 <pwhalen> How're you doing jlinton?
15:01:57 <jlinton> avoiding the heat, like everyone I guess.
15:02:09 <jlinton> how about yourself?
15:03:02 <pbrobinson> hey
15:03:48 <pwhalen> jlinton: well, thanks. It's harder to stay warm in my basement with the AC going
15:04:05 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Stable Releases ====
15:04:10 <jforbes> hello
15:04:30 <pwhalen> Any reported issues in 35/36?
15:04:39 * coremodule is here
15:04:39 <pwhalen> howdy jforbes, thanks for joining
15:04:50 * pwhalen high fives coremodule
15:05:14 <pwhalen> Not aware of any issues, but also not following as closely
15:05:26 <jforbes> nothing arm specific that I have seen
15:05:46 <pwhalen> nice :)
15:05:54 <pwhalen> #info No reported issues.
15:06:03 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Kernel Status ====
15:06:11 <pwhalen> #info kernel-5.19.0-0.rc7.53.fc37
15:06:11 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2003898
15:06:37 <pwhalen> how's 5.19 looking? Has anyone has a chance to test rc7?
15:06:53 <jforbes> While rc7 is interesting, the patches for better rpi4 support came in after that build, so rc8 will be nice
15:06:58 <pbrobinson> I tested to rc5
15:07:29 <jlinton> Its running on the pi, although I saw a bunch of CPPC weirdness caused by the _OSC changes which is something to watch out for on other platforms.
15:07:30 <pbrobinson> jforbes: yeah, I thought it missed even though I pushed it early Mon :)
15:07:51 <jforbes> pbrobinson: it wasn't so much when you pushed, as it contained patches and needed a RHEL ack
15:08:32 <jforbes> but that ack was received, and the patches are in now
15:08:43 <pwhalen> #info 5.19 rc8 will include patches for RPi4 support.
15:09:01 <pwhalen> great news, thanks you both
15:09:49 <pwhalen> #info Please test and report any issues to #fedora-arm or the mailing list.
15:10:05 <pwhalen> Any other kernel news this week?
15:10:37 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Bootloader Status ====
15:11:14 <pbrobinson> there was a 2022.07 GA build for U-Boot so please test that so we can get any regressions
15:11:20 <pwhalen> #info uboot-tools-2022.07-1.fc37
15:11:21 <pwhalen> #link https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=2003292
15:11:38 <pbrobinson> there's also a new shim build which fixes some of the fallback crashes we saw on aarch64
15:11:47 <pbrobinson> s/some/the/
15:12:39 <pwhalen> #info New shim build, fixes fallback crash on AArch64.

15:14:54 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Fedora 37 status ===
15:15:04 <pwhalen> #info OpenQA Testing

15:15:22 <pwhalen> Looks pretty good.
15:16:17 <pwhalen> we have reports of RPi4 issues on the mailing list, the same mmc problem we've seen before
15:17:04 <pbrobinson> yes, I think it's the HW rev
15:17:23 <pbrobinson> there was a patch proposed for upstream but it didn't go anywhere, I was going to reply
15:19:03 <pwhalen> Right, thanks.
15:19:41 <pwhalen> Other than the problem child (RPi4), any other issues in rawhide?
15:20:40 <pbrobinson> none I'm aware of but I've not done a lot of recent testing
15:21:05 <pwhalen> yea, same.
15:21:09 <pwhalen> #topic 5) ==== Open Floor ====
15:21:18 <pwhalen> Anything else for today?
15:22:21 <jlinton> The mcbin tty was still a problem last week, although I think the fix landed, but I've not verified it.
15:22:50 <pbrobinson> jlinton: on 5.19? I've not tested that on my mcbin either
15:23:07 <jlinton> yah rawhide/5.19
15:24:23 <jlinton> The mmc on edk2 has been a problem on/off with the release firmware, a couple people who reported problems and tried my personal branch (where I hardcode the clock rate rather than trusting the firmware) also reported that fixed the speed/etc issues.
15:25:10 <jlinton> So i'm not sure all that churning last year still works reliably.
15:25:30 <jlinton> (thats on the rpi4 if it wasn't clear)
15:26:59 <pbrobinson> jlinton: I'm guessing it's the two silicon revs
15:28:31 <pwhalen> agreed, seems likely
