15:00:20 * jlinton waves
15:00:23 <coremodule> Hi all, who is around today?
15:00:25 <coremodule> hi jlinton
15:00:59 <jlinton> my IRC client must have had a network split last time, I didn't see the fedora-meeting chat until a couple hours later, and I was here and it was silent.
15:01:00 * pwhalen is here
15:02:22 <coremodule> hi pwhalen
15:02:40 <coremodule> no worries jlinton, you're here now

15:02:56 <coremodule> let's get started!
15:03:01 <coremodule> anything for stable f38?
15:03:07 <coremodule> I don't have anything

15:04:54 <coremodule> Kernel!
15:05:04 <coremodule> links above to the latest of each kernel
15:05:23 <jforbes> Yup, expecting 6.6 final next weekend most likely
15:05:35 <coremodule> awesome
15:05:48 <jlinton> I've been running the RC's on the x13s, rpi and thunderX2 and nothing bad has happened yet.
15:05:49 <pwhalen> thanks, I'll test rc7 on some hw today
15:05:56 <jforbes> I don't have a lot of interesting kernel news, though I suppose it is time to start looking at what is being done for the Pi 5 upstream
15:06:00 <pwhalen> nice! thanks jlinton
15:06:31 <pwhalen> No doubt folks will expect f39 to work on the pi5
15:06:53 <coremodule> pwhalen, you can say that again
15:06:54 <coremodule> :)
15:07:13 <jforbes> pwhalen: They will likely be disappointed from what I know
15:07:35 <jforbes> We can likely make it work eventually, but 6.5.x isn't it.
15:07:57 <pwhalen> Agreed
15:09:47 <coremodule> thanks for the update jforbes
15:09:59 <jforbes> NP

15:11:12 <zodbot_> coremodule: 2241252 – U-Boot fails to load kernel provided DTs from /boot (RPi4 boots to blank screen) - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/2241252

15:12:17 <coremodule> pwhalen, do you happen to know if the uboot that pbrobinson pushed yesterday included the RPi4/jetson nano fix for the above bug?
15:13:43 <pwhalen> coremodule: for f40, I don't think so, I think it might fix the mmc bug we werent able to reproduce
15:14:19 <pwhalen> I believe he's still working out the logic for the dtb issue
15:14:34 <coremodule> that is f40, isn't it? :) okay, thanks for the update
15:15:45 <coremodule> #topic 4) ==== Fedora 39 status ===
15:15:45 <coremodule> #info OpenQA Testing Fedora-39-20231023.n.0

15:16:28 <coremodule> F39 status. I ran some basic tests on RPi4 workstation with this version and didn't run into anything with a cursory look. I think we're looking okay once we get the fix(es) we need
15:19:08 <pwhalen> nice. coremodule did you have a chance to test other hw?
15:19:33 * pwhalen can try something that hasnt been tested
15:19:41 <coremodule> no I haven't, just rpi4
15:20:03 <coremodule> that'd be awesome
15:20:05 <coremodule> thanks pwhalen
15:20:53 <coremodule> #topic 5) ==== Open Floor ====
15:21:40 * pwhalen has nothing else
15:21:43 <pwhalen> thanks coremodule
15:21:47 <jlinton> the x13s installer is dependent on one last thing, a dracut change to add the net/qrtr drivers to the initrd in order to boot from usb mass storage.
15:22:35 <jlinton> once we finish discussing whether a driver in the net directory should be part of the network modules, or not that should land.
15:22:44 <jforbes> jlinton: is there a pull request for it?
15:22:48 <jlinton> Yes,
15:23:05 <jlinton> https://github.com/dracutdevs/dracut/pull/2531
15:23:10 <jforbes> excellent, thanks
15:25:13 <coremodule> thanks all for attending
