15:03:41 <Kevin_Kofler> Uhm, I don't know, 4.*.* release, Fedora 1? status, …? ;-)
15:04:00 <rdieter> k
15:04:21 <than> perhaps f18 blocker if we have
15:04:55 <rdieter> https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=F18Blocker-kde looks clear
15:05:23 <rdieter> anyway, on to status updates then
15:05:28 <rdieter> #topic status updates
15:05:46 <rdieter> kde-4.9.5 is in updates-testing for f17/f18, feedback good so far
15:06:32 <rdieter> 4.9.97 in rawhide, f18/kde-unstable , also no bad outstanding issues i'm aware of (just fixed the pykde4 kpythonpluginfactory thing)
15:06:45 <Kevin_Kofler> I have some 4.9.4 stuff pending for F18 stable, blocking on the freeze, let me know if you want to push 4.9.5 to F18 stable, then I'll revoke the 4.9.4 stuff.
15:06:52 <rdieter> if nothing else occupies my time this afternoon, may get to work on 4.9.97 builds for f17 too
15:07:06 <rdieter> Kevin_Kofler: I think we can safely wait until post release
15:07:30 <rdieter> (there's no urgency or rush)
15:07:36 <than> rdieter: +1
15:08:50 <rdieter> for giggles, was thinking of giving skvidal's copr implementation a work-out doing f17/kde-4.9.97 builds (some or all of it, depending on how things go)
15:09:00 <Kevin_Kofler> There's your kdelibs build which fixes the console spam (and also upgrade path from F17 because ltinkl pushed a udisks1-specific fix to F17 with the same EVR (except for the disttag), apparently thinking your F18 build was already stable).
15:09:22 <Kevin_Kofler> Oh, and also a kalzium rebuild for the fixed OCaml.
15:09:31 <Kevin_Kofler> Those are the 4.9.4 things I have pending for stable IIRC.
15:09:46 <rdieter> good, thanks.
15:10:09 <rdieter> anyone give the newer f18 apper build a try? (it's really nice, imo)
15:10:40 <rdieter> it includes a plasma systray widget now
15:10:49 <Kevin_Kofler> BTW, I fixed kdelibs3 for Rawhide's CUPS, the Trinity patch turned out to be easier to backport than I had feared (removing the trinityisms was just mechanical, except for the configure.in.in change where I was able to copy&paste an already existing version check).
15:11:02 <rdieter> yay
15:11:31 <Kevin_Kofler> FYI, s/TQ/Q/g and s/tdeprint/kdeprint/g before applying the patch (so it changed both "original" and patched lines) did the trick.
15:12:01 <Kevin_Kofler> (Thankfully, Trinity's "porting" is done exactly that way, with some dumb replacements, so "unporting" is easy. :-p )
15:12:21 <than> Kevin_Kofler: not bad :)
15:13:57 <Kevin_Kofler> (The tdeprint→kdeprint replacement also fixed the file paths.)
15:15:35 <rdieter> k, looks like that wraps up our status reports
15:15:39 <rdieter> #topic open discussion
15:15:44 <rdieter> anything else for today?
15:16:19 <rdieter> than: either here or after meeting, would like your opinion on the doxygen thing (ie, whether to make a -latex subpkg or not)
15:16:56 <than> rdieter: we can discuss on fedora-kde
15:16:57 <ltinkl> latex subpkg? seems like overkill to me
15:17:09 <ltinkl> and space bloating
15:17:19 <Kevin_Kofler> ltinkl: The issue is dependencies used for PDF output.
15:17:24 <than> ltinkl: texlive
15:17:26 <rdieter> .bug 892288
15:17:28 <rdieter> see ^^
15:17:28 <zodbot> rdieter: Bug 892288 doxygen 1.8.3-2 update has unwanted runtime deps on texlive - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=892288
15:17:29 <Kevin_Kofler> If they're not there, people complain that PDF generation doesn't work.
15:17:38 <ltinkl> ugh, ugly
15:17:39 <rdieter> vs.
15:17:39 <Kevin_Kofler> If they're there, people complain about the "dependency bloat".
15:17:49 <rdieter> .bug 891452
15:17:51 <zodbot> rdieter: Bug 891452 doxygen is missing dependencies for F18 texlive update - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=891452
15:17:55 <Kevin_Kofler> :-(
15:18:01 <ltinkl> reminds me of the digikam vs. marble dependencies...
15:18:15 <rdieter> proposal: put reporters in a cage, and let them fight. winner decides
15:18:22 <rdieter> tee hee
15:18:29 <Kevin_Kofler> LOL
15:18:54 <Kevin_Kofler> I'd just leave the deps in, and if people complain, I'd find some more stuff to Require. :-p
15:19:14 <Kevin_Kofler> It's not like doxygen is space-critical for live image sizes or the like, is it?
15:19:36 <rdieter> reminds me of BOFH
15:20:28 <nucleo> can someone test linphone update with linphone-mediastreamer subpackage added for kdenetwork-kopete-4.9.5 dependency (to install only libmediastreamer instead of linphone)?https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2013-0049
15:20:31 <Kevin_Kofler> How about Requires: okular so you can actually view the generated PDFs? :-p
15:21:08 <rdieter> nucleo: +1 , it works fine (dependency wise at least, haven't tested functionality yet)
15:21:30 <Kevin_Kofler> Oh, Requires: qt4-devel so the QCH generation feature works. (Yes, that's an actual Doxygen feature, though few people use it. I use it for DynGenPar.)
15:21:52 <Kevin_Kofler> http://www.tigen.org/kevin.kofler/fmathl/dyngenpar/dyngenpar.qch
15:22:14 <rdieter> Kevin_Kofler: you're naughty
15:22:17 <nucleo> thanks
15:23:52 <rdieter> had a chance to test ktp-call-ui audio/video calling with Riddell yesterday too, works like a charm.
15:24:22 <than> rdieter: new subpackage -latex with latex deps sounds ok
15:24:37 <Kevin_Kofler> rdieter: Oh, finally a working KDE video conferencing solution?
15:24:43 <Caterpillar> :O
15:24:51 <rdieter> Kevin_Kofler: seems so
15:25:01 <rdieter> for 2 participants anyway
15:25:19 <than> someone who wants to create pdf files can add BR on -latex
15:25:47 <rdieter> than: ok, i had a preference for that solution too. will implement after meeting
15:26:04 <than> i don't see a better solution
15:26:25 <than> rdieter: thanks
15:26:32 <rdieter> nod, it's a good compromise
15:27:04 <rdieter> anything else? will close meeting in a couple minutes if not
15:29:34 <rdieter> thanks everyone! carry on.
15:29:36 <rdieter> #endmeeting
