15:05:12 <rdieter> #topic agenda
15:05:41 <rdieter> alrighty, what to discuss today? previous suggestions include: kde-4.10.2 status, f19-alpha status, anything else?
15:06:17 <jreznik> ok for me
15:07:39 <rdieter> ok, let's go then
15:07:43 <rdieter> #topic kde-4.10.2 status
15:08:24 <rdieter> I got most of 4.10.2 done over the past few days, than just got kde-l10n in rawhide (i missed that, thanks)
15:09:07 <rdieter> starting in on f19 builds now, and will do f18/f17 afterward (and el6 ones on the side)
15:09:44 <rdieter> prepped a f19-kde koji tag/target for this (since alpha freeze just hit)
15:09:59 <rdieter> that's all I've got, any comments, questions, flames?
15:10:18 <Kevin_Kofler> Good work, thanks (also to than for kde-l10n)!
15:11:04 <jreznik> cool guys!
15:11:10 <than> Kevin_Kofler, rdieter: np :)
15:11:15 * jreznik saw the upload flood in his mailbox
15:11:57 <than> koji seems broken atm
15:12:35 <than> i got "BuildrootError: could not init mock buildroot"
15:13:14 <rdieter> yeah, :( rawhide/f20 at least, maybe even f19 too (just had a f19 scratch build fail on me)
15:13:33 <rdieter> f19-kde target builds seem ok so far *fingers crossed*
15:14:01 <rdieter> i think i recall mention of something in #fedora-devel earlier
15:14:22 <nirik> it's being worked on. Sorry for the trouble.
15:14:53 <rdieter> nirik: ok, as long as there's light at the end of the tunnel
15:15:00 <than> nirik: thanks for the info
15:15:04 <nirik> yeah. Hopefully it's not a train. ;)
15:15:04 <rdieter> anything else wrt 4.10.2 ?
15:15:24 <jreznik> :D
15:15:54 <rdieter> nirik: do you know what repos/targets the problem affects? everything? some subset?
15:16:49 <rdieter> i guess it doesn't matter, stuff either works or it doesn't, and we'll find out soon enough
15:17:01 <rdieter> moving on to f19-alpha...
15:17:11 <rdieter> #topic f19 alpha status
15:17:47 <jreznik> mbriza: what't the state of F19 Alpha theming?
15:17:54 <rdieter> so, 2 issues for f19-alpha I'm aware of: theming (mbriza, thanks!)
15:17:59 <jreznik> .bug 928303
15:18:02 <zodbot> jreznik: Bug 928303 F19 KDE contains F18 artwork - https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=928303
15:18:08 <mbriza> yeah, i wanted to ask, too
15:18:26 <mbriza> there were some concerns in the weekend and i'm afraid i didn't understand what doesn't work
15:18:44 <rdieter> jreznik: the new theming should be in now
15:18:57 <rdieter> there was 1 bug wrt wallpaper not working, but I think I figured out the cause of that yesterday
15:19:29 <rdieter> mbriza: ^^ that's not fixed yet, is it?
15:19:44 <mbriza> i don't think so
15:20:09 <jreznik> ok, so the bug could be set to modified
15:20:19 <rdieter> iirc, the fix was relatively simple. I can do it after meeting, if no one beats me to it
15:20:38 <rdieter> the plasma theme metadata.desktop file referenced .png instead of .jpg
15:20:46 <mbriza> so if it's only the wallpaper, i'll fix it in the morning - i don't have my certificates to access the repositories with me right now
15:21:18 <rdieter> mbriza: ok, great. need to submit updates via bodhi now
15:21:37 <rdieter> jreznik: I suppose we need a bug to track it, and it be an alpha blocker before it can be pulled in now?
15:21:53 <rdieter> or we can recycle 928303 ? :)
15:22:08 <jreznik> rdieter: yes, you can recycle that one, reassign it to the right component
15:22:15 <Kevin_Kofler> I think we need a different bug for this, but I don't think it'll be considered a blocker.
15:22:22 <Kevin_Kofler> Freeze Exception (NTH) at best.
15:22:42 <rdieter> whatever term is needed to get it pulled in. :)
15:22:54 <Kevin_Kofler> There are no criteria requiring Alpha to have a working wallpaper.
15:23:04 <Kevin_Kofler> I'm not sure that is even a criterion for Final, unfortunately.
15:23:16 <jreznik> Kevin_Kofler: there are "The default desktop background must be different from that of the two previous stable releases"
15:23:37 <Kevin_Kofler> Yes, but we didn't ship F17 nor F18 with a blank background. ;-)
15:24:19 <Kevin_Kofler> Schrödinger's Background: It's both present and not present. ;-)
15:24:24 <jreznik> lol
15:24:31 <mbriza> :)
15:25:03 * rdieter updated bug
15:26:05 <rdieter> gosh I had a 2nd item in mind I was going to mention, and now I can't remember. :-/
15:26:21 <jreznik> rdieter: thanks
15:26:36 <rdieter> ah, kdenetwork. prior to kdenetwork-4.10.2-1 , it had been FTBFS
15:27:13 <rdieter> so f19 still has kdenetwork-4.10.0-2.fc19
15:27:26 <rdieter> the last one that built ok, before it broke
15:27:47 <rdieter> imo, probably not worth worrying or doing anything about
15:27:52 <rdieter> just thought I'd mention it
15:27:53 <Kevin_Kofler> Yeah, not a blocker.
15:28:16 <Kevin_Kofler> Old kdenetwork + new kdelibs should work fine, and we're already about to build 4.10.2.
15:28:46 <Kevin_Kofler> We could build a fixed 4.10.1 build in principle, but I don't think it'd qualify as a Freeze Exception, so it'd be a waste of time.
15:28:50 <than> rdieter: yes, it's not worth fixing in 4.10.1
15:29:02 <than> we are geting 4.10.2 in f19
15:29:04 <rdieter> agreed
15:29:14 <rdieter> so, anything else wrt f19 or f19-alpha ?
15:29:35 <jreznik> testing ;-)
15:30:11 <rdieter> indeed, i'd fetched TC3, but hadn't had a chance to try it out much yet.
15:30:27 <jreznik> so please guys, try to run it - there are still some issues with a new initial-setup (and overall confusion regarding gnome-initial-setup, initial-setup, anaconda initial-setup, firtsboot - fun)
15:30:34 <rdieter> did do TC2, and it seems mostly ok, if I ignored the bloat. :)
15:30:48 <rdieter> jreznik: oh joy, noted.
15:30:50 <mbriza> i'm running f19 on my desktop here at college and it seems fine so far
15:30:52 <Kevin_Kofler> There are some KDE 3 legacy packages affected by the autotools aarch64 issue, I fixed the main ones (the ones which already used make cvs, I fixed the admin/cvs.sh script to pass --force-missing to automake), but there are some others. I'll fix them ASAP, but not for the Alpha.
15:31:06 <Kevin_Kofler> (At least, I'll fix the ones I maintain or comaintain.)
15:31:35 <Kevin_Kofler> Thankfully, KDE 4 does not use those autotools anymore, so it works on new architectures out of the box. :-)
15:32:09 <than> Kevin_Kofler: thanks for fixes in kde3 stuff!
15:34:10 <rdieter> moving on...
15:34:17 <rdieter> #topic open discussion
15:34:22 <rdieter> anything else for today?
15:36:48 * jreznik had something on mind before but forget...
15:37:57 <rdieter> oh well, holler in #fedora-kde later if it comes back to mind
15:38:20 <rdieter> otherwise, yay, short meeting, thanks everyone.
15:38:24 <rdieter> #endmeeting
