05:48:38 <mfabian> While investigating this bug for Sinhala: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1659748 , I found that it doesn’t seem to happen when using ibus-typing-booster. That maybe just a coincidence, I am not yet sure whether it is a bug in ibus-m17n as it happens only in some applications. But while testing I found that ibus-typing-booster seems to work better for Sinhala as well.

05:52:01 <mfabian> That was also my first guess, I thought if it uses surrounding text, it will fail in many programs as surrounding text is very buggy and doesn't work at all in some programs. But it doesn't use surrounding text by default. So the reason why it doesn't work in some programs whereas it works just fine in others is still unclear to me. But ibus-typing-booster using Wijesekera works everywhere. A coincidence maybe, I need to
