Anyone else? 14:08:01 #info No issues reported. 14:08:25 #topic 3) ==== Fedora 31 status ==== 14:09:00 #info New compose available for testing 14:09:00 #link https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/iot/Fedora-IoT-31-20190923.0/compose/ 14:09:20 has anyone had a chance to kick the tires with recent composes? 14:09:38 Not with the Iot ones ... sorry. 14:10:14 no worries. 14:10:24 I think the only issue I saw was running podman rootless 14:10:37 and that was reported already, need to look at the outcome 14:12:34 we've also has some issues with Intel wifi, patch was posted upstream and thanks to pbrobinson will be pulled into the next kernel build 14:13:04 I tested it on affected hardware and it looks good 14:13:59 #info Fedora 31 final freeze - 2019-10-08 14:14:43 that gives us just under two weeks 14:15:08 #info Fedora 31 Final Release - 2019-10-22 (target) 14:15:23 Does anyone have anything for F31? 14:16:49 #topic 4) ==== Fedora 31 Testday ==== 14:17:01 #info Scheduled for next week (October 2nd) 14:17:23 Ya!! test day. :) 14:17:30 we'll use the iot channel for communication. There is also a kernel test week at the same time so they will be using the testday channel 14:18:05 #info From our last test day.. 14:18:09 #link http://testdays.fedorainfracloud.org/events/62 14:18:48 we covered the basic testing, does anyone recall if there were things we should improve this time around, or new tests we should be covering? 14:20:28 if folks could take a look, let me or the channel know if there are areas we should add 14:21:52 If I remember ... last time we created container images, which didn't go over well on machines with small memory 14:22:28 Since IoT is generally meant to be a container consumer, were we going to change it so that we didn't create containers this time? 14:22:30 we did, do you recall what issues we had? 14:22:54 Ya, they would run out of memory and not be able to built the containers. 14:23:31 From my tests on the pi 3a "1. It passed installing and running images. It fails building an image with "fatal error: runtime: out of memory". The 3a+ only has 512M of memory. " 14:24:32 OK, I'll look at that before next week, perhaps give some other option. I dont think I've hit that..yet 14:24:33 I believe the pi3a was the only hardware tested with only 512M of memory ... so, if we want to build containers this time, that's good. 14:25:06 thanks tdawson 14:26:55 anything else for F31 Test Day? 14:27:00 * pbrobinson is sort of here and a little late 14:27:32 * pwhalen waves to our fearless leader 14:27:46 * pbrobinson looks around wondering who that would be! 14:27:54 :) 14:27:56 #topic 5) ==== Fedora 32 status ==== 14:28:05 #info New compose available for testing 14:28:05 #info https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/iot/Fedora-IoT-32-20190923.0/compose/ 14:28:28 I don't have anything for F32, other than noting the new compose 14:28:50 so f32 has ignition in it now rather than initial-setup 14:28:58 that may well change again 14:29:13 oh, right. thanks pbrobinson. Made note to test 14:29:16 and we don't currently have a way to do user creation etc 14:29:35 so if people want to test it installing F-31 and then rebasing is the best 14:29:56 we do have a solution for that in the works and we should have some more detail about that soon 14:30:21 it's basically an auto web based system and it will be pretty cool IMO ;-) 14:30:25 #info F32 includes ignition rather than initial-setup 14:30:55 sounds cool, look forward to hearing more about it 14:31:55 anything else for F32? 14:32:31 #topic 6) ==== Open Floor ==== 14:32:51 nothing from me on any of the above 14:33:27 Just wanted to say that I updated mozilla-iot-gateway to 0.9.2 14:33:51 nice 14:33:53 It's in rawhide, and I think it will make it into F31 before the final freeze. 14:34:35 #info mozilla-iot-gateway updated to 0.9.2 in Rawhide, should be moved to F31 before final freeze . 14:34:39 tdawson: awesome, what was the latest on the container side of things there? 14:35:07 No container built yet, though the Dockerfile is created. 14:35:40 I've never built a Fedora container (official one) and this week I'm looking into doing that for mozilla-iot-gateway 14:37:20 I think that's all I have for this week. 14:37:32 tdawson, great, I'll know who to ask when I need to 14:37:38 :) 14:37:45 #endmeeting
