14:01:04 <pwhalen> Good morning, who's here today?
14:01:10 <bcotton> .hello2
14:01:12 <zodbot> bcotton: bcotton 'Ben Cotton' <bcotton@redhat.com>
14:01:16 * pbrobinson is here
14:01:16 <pwhalen> howdy bcotton
14:01:21 <bcotton> hi pwhalen!
14:01:38 * pwhalen waits for others to join
14:01:50 * tdawson is here, lurking mainly.
14:02:38 <pwhalen> ok, looks like we have the usual suspects. Lets get started
14:02:50 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Working Group process and admin  ====
14:02:50 <pwhalen> #link https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/iot/
14:03:20 <pwhalen> Lots of edits on the docs, if people can look them over, submit pull requests or issues in pagure
14:03:54 <pwhalen> #link https://pagure.io/fedora-iot/iot-docs
14:04:43 <pbrobinson> #info PRs and issues welcome
14:05:19 <pwhalen> Anything else?
14:05:34 <pbrobinson> not from me, does bcotton?
14:06:36 <bcotton> nada
14:07:51 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Fedora 31 status ====
14:09:20 <pwhalen> Anything to note for F31?
14:11:26 <pwhalen> #info No reported issues, F32 is now the stable branch.
14:11:36 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Fedora 32 status ====
14:11:59 <pwhalen> released last week, has anyone had any issues?
14:12:34 <pwhalen> I saw in channel there were some reported issues with firewalld(nftables) and containers. Has anyone hit that?
14:13:18 <pwhalen> Not sure if it is specific to iot or a general issue with podman/firewalld
14:15:23 <pwhalen> *tap*tap* is this thing on?
14:15:34 <pbrobinson> sorry
14:16:17 <pbrobinson> there's new version of cri-o stack which I believe should be stable now
14:16:39 <pbrobinson> so it probably makes sense to start planning the next release with updates
14:18:35 <pwhalen> agreed,
14:18:52 <pwhalen> anything else for f32?
14:19:51 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Fedora 33 status ====
14:19:51 <pwhalen> #info Latest compose available for testing:
14:19:51 <pwhalen> #link https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/compose/iot/Fedora-IoT-33-20200505.0/
14:20:43 <pbrobinson> so for planning for F-33 I have the following 2 main things
14:21:23 <pbrobinson> 1) is potentially moving to osbuild to make the composes, this is mostly meta stuff and doesn't really affect the end user
14:21:39 <pbrobinson> 2) a basic enforcing IMA policy
14:22:20 <pbrobinson> this will be a very basic policy to get infra bits in place and work out what works and what breaks
14:23:46 <pwhalen> sounds like a good, conservative approach.
14:23:50 <pbrobinson> If we have some cycles I'd love to look at toolbox container stuff for developers but I don't think I'm going to have the round-tuits available for that
14:25:57 <pwhalen> right. Has anyone looked at the existing toolbox? Is something missing that we would want?
14:26:55 <pwhalen> I'll try to take a look this week
14:28:00 <pwhalen> for F33, it looks ok so far. Latest compose has 5.7 rc4, disk images boot ok. There is an issue with podman on aarch4, previously reported an discussed
14:28:09 <pwhalen> #info Podman pull fails with: Image architecture mismatch: image uses "aarch64", expecting "arm64"
14:28:09 <pwhalen> #link https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1793927
14:28:09 <pwhalen> #link https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2020-e858471cbe
14:28:32 <pwhalen> pbrobinson, built a new version of imagefactory, which should fix the images, but not yet tested.
14:28:58 <pwhalen> There is a workaround in the bug to override the arch
14:29:20 <pbrobinson> pwhalen: I need new imagefactory builds, I think that should be fixed when infra reinstalls to f32?
14:29:41 <pbrobinson> bah
14:29:56 <pbrobinson> I did new i-f builds, but you also covered that :)
14:29:59 <pwhalen> right, we need them to deploy the fixed version is my understanding, but I can try a local test to see if its indeed fixed
14:30:55 <pwhalen> its not too bad, the arch override was only needed when pulling the image, iirc
14:31:14 <pwhalen> anything else for F33?
14:31:40 <pwhalen> #topic 4) ==== Open Floor ====
14:32:06 <pwhalen> Anything else not yet covered?
14:34:00 <tdawson> I wanted to thank everyone for what you've been doing on IoT. I think it's great.
14:34:25 <tdawson> There was alot of doc changes this week, not published, but still alot of changes. Thanks for working on that.
14:35:25 <tdawson> And the work on getting this to be a truely locked down, but usable enviroment. I am/was amazed when I started testing F32 during testing day.
14:35:50 <pwhalen> and thank you too! :D
14:36:34 <tdawson> Anyway, just incase others don't thank you ... cuz I think this is going to start turning some heads and possibly industries ... thanks.
14:37:36 <pwhalen> :)
14:37:36 <tdawson> That's if from me. :)
