17:34:59 <bexelbie> Proposed: Tickets: 150, 145/Ambassadors, and then Open Floor
17:35:00 <bexelbie> Any suggested additions or modifications?
17:35:12 <jsmith> Looks good to me...

17:37:05 <jsmith> I think this one has enough votes, no? Just waiting on the time, or a final vote or two?
17:37:12 <bexelbie> This is on a tight deadline. We really need votes from @relrod and @nb nb relrod
17:37:17 <bexelbie> time or votes
17:37:23 <bexelbie> votes would help us make any deadlines
17:37:25 <bexelbie> because ...
17:37:29 <bexelbie> we need to deal with the Polos question
17:37:34 <jsmith> Who hasn't voted yet?
17:37:37 <relrod> ok, looking
17:37:48 <bexelbie> we have traditionally been opposed to small print runs of shirts (quality, design issues)
17:37:54 <bexelbie> these folks could theoretically wear polos
17:37:56 <bexelbie> I have polos
17:37:59 <bexelbie> can we use them for this?
17:38:08 <bexelbie> Ambassadors has no decision making apparatus
17:38:10 <jsmith> I don't see why not...
17:38:11 <bexelbie> I think we can just do it
17:38:14 <jsmith> Just do it...
17:38:16 <bexelbie> let me see if they say EMEA
17:38:48 <bexelbie> thankfully they do not
17:39:03 <bexelbie> ok, then are we all ok with the process proposed in the ticket for getting one sent for this event?
17:39:19 <tg-fedmindshare> <bt0dotninja> Yes
17:39:32 <jsmith> Yes
17:40:35 <bexelbie> cool
17:40:43 <bexelbie> then barring nb we have votes ... I am assumign relrod voted
17:40:57 * bexelbie has noticed nb isn't making this meeting - do we need a new time?
17:41:14 <relrod> +1 for travel, +1 for polos. Will add it to the ticket.
17:41:18 <bexelbie> any other comments on this ticket?
17:41:26 <bexelbie> no need to vote on Polos in the ticket :)
17:41:30 <relrod> ok
17:41:46 <jsmith> Wouldn't hurt to poll everyone for times again... this time is bad for me every other week
17:42:38 <bexelbie> does someone want to drive the poll for times?
17:42:45 <bexelbie> #topic meeting times (sudden item)
17:43:19 * relrod guesses we can just do a Doodle and get people to vote on it?
17:43:28 <bexelbie> relrod, will you do the doodle?
17:43:39 <relrod> sure
17:44:01 <relrod> bexelbie: I'll set one up and drop the link in a ticket, will that work?
17:44:02 <bexelbie> #action relrod to setup a doodle to see if we need a new meeting time
17:44:14 <bexelbie> WFM
17:44:25 <bexelbie> moving on?
17:44:28 <relrod> yep
17:44:42 <x3mboy> .HELLO2
17:44:43 <zodbot> x3mboy: x3mboy 'Eduard Lucena' <eduardlucena@gmail.com>
17:44:56 <x3mboy> Sorry, CapsLock on
17:45:19 <bexelbie> #topic Ambassadors
17:45:19 <bexelbie> #link https://pagure.io/mindshare/issue/145
17:45:25 <bexelbie> we have a ton of amby tickets - this is the latest
17:45:37 <bexelbie> we seem to ahve reached a people are going to do a survey point
17:45:56 <bexelbie> I am not sure if we have anything to add (and why it wouldn't already be in the ticket) but I do know this debate keeps raging on at a slow simmer
17:46:21 <jsmith> I think we had some good discussions at Flock
17:46:37 <jsmith> and those of us who were there came to a bit of a conclusion, I think.
17:46:54 <x3mboy> That conclusion being?
17:47:13 <jsmith> I think (and please correct me if you remember differently) that we concluded that keeping Ambassadors around is a good idea, even if there's nothing now that Ambassadors can do that nobody else can.
17:47:34 <jsmith> If people want the formal mentorship and to act as an ambassador, that's all a good thing.
17:48:02 <jsmith> But you don't have to be an ambassador to run an event, ask for swag, etc.
17:48:26 <jsmith> Everyone in the two Flock sessions (my "year in review" talk + the Mindshare workshop) seemed to think that was a good compromise
17:48:31 <bexelbie> I am a-OK with this as long as Mindshare can get out of hte business of being blocked by Ambassadors needing to do something or having to run their mentoring program. I am happy for ambassadors to ahve a seat on mindshare - but can we get them to figure out how to choose it like the other groups?
17:48:50 <bexelbie> I'd love to see a proposal that detangles this
17:49:03 <jsmith> I will make a proposal :-)
17:49:34 <jsmith> But with no real "Ambassadors" leadership, I'll get creative with figuring out how to appoint/vote/etc. for the seats on Mindshare.
17:50:01 <bexelbie> perhaps this would be a good option
17:50:09 <bexelbie> we put a term limit ont he two seats we have - perhaps end of next release
17:50:19 <jsmith> I'll try to have a proposal put together by next meeting.
17:50:27 <bexelbie> if amby doesn't have themselves worked out by then - we let the seats expire and they can get a new one just like any other team int eh future
17:50:39 <bexelbie> and lets reduce the seat count to one immediately (which it is effectively already)
17:50:44 <bexelbie> WDYT?
17:50:46 <jsmith> bexelbie: I was thinking the same thing... sunset the "Ambassadors" seats if they're not actively being 'worked'
17:50:53 <bexelbie> that way your proposal to detangle isn't blocked on Amby getting worked out
17:51:01 <jsmith> Love it...
17:51:12 <bexelbie> I'd basically put a term limit on NB and remove the robyduck seat ASAP
17:51:17 <bexelbie> I will not -1 a reasonable alternative
17:51:27 <bexelbie> I will not debate this with you here - and will instead be excited to read your propsoal
17:51:28 <bexelbie> :)
17:51:36 <bexelbie> thsi also doesn't blcok the work being done in #145
17:51:50 <jsmith> Correct...
17:52:31 <bexelbie> #action jsmith to write a "detangling" proposal that separates mindshare from amby governance and gives amby time to figure out what they want but removes blocks from mindshare and to mindshare
17:52:34 <bexelbie> does that work?
17:53:42 <x3mboy> +1
17:53:53 <bexelbie> jsmith, good summary?
17:54:05 <jsmith> WORKSFORME
17:54:11 <bexelbie> other ambassador conversation for now?
17:54:17 <x3mboy> Not from me
17:54:32 <bexelbie> #topic Open Floor
17:54:45 <x3mboy> Just the reminder of finishing this, will let us move on on the "Emeritus" topic
17:55:14 <x3mboy> Well, I'm still blocked on Marketing on "what should we do as team"
17:55:43 <x3mboy> TBH, I'm lost
17:55:56 <bexelbie> x3mboy, I respect - I think we should ask bcotton to join us at a meeting for this conversation
17:56:00 <bexelbie> I know he has thoughts here
17:56:01 <x3mboy> I have no idea on how to move on
17:56:16 <bexelbie> I do believe we should define a "we can actually do this" level of activity and grow from there
17:56:17 <x3mboy> I know he have
17:56:26 <x3mboy> bexelbie +1
17:56:35 <bexelbie> do you want to take point on getting him to one of our meetings x3mboy ?
17:56:41 <x3mboy> Sure
17:56:46 <bexelbie> #topic marketing team
17:56:57 <bexelbie> #action x3mboy to get bcotton to join us and we will put this on the agenda for discussion
17:57:24 <bexelbie> #topic Open Floor
17:57:26 <x3mboy> I think we can also do an extra effort to go to him in the "FPMg office hours"
17:57:27 <x3mboy> No?
17:57:32 <x3mboy> Well, I will contact him
17:57:34 <bexelbie> x3mboy, that works too
17:57:39 <bexelbie> I trust you to figure it out :)
17:57:45 <x3mboy> Thanks
17:58:09 <x3mboy> Can I ask if there is a new F-cake on the view?
17:58:18 <bexelbie> I have no news there
17:58:26 <bexelbie> the search is still in progress
17:58:40 <x3mboy> Well, you can apply for the position
17:58:41 <x3mboy> :D
17:59:01 <jsmith> I hear bexelbie has bigger things on his proverbial plate, now :-)
17:59:28 <bexelbie> while that gets bigger by the day - no news on the FCAIC side :P
18:00:54 <x3mboy> Well, good luck in your future plans
18:00:54 <bexelbie> hahaha
18:00:54 <x3mboy> :D
18:01:04 <bexelbie> I am working on the future plans
18:01:09 <relrod> #link https://doodle.com/poll/dtbwu6xwberb86em
18:01:10 <bexelbie> I was laughing at the applying
18:01:10 * jsmith has nothing else for the open floor...
18:01:12 <relrod> I did half-hour blocks from 11am up through 4pm (eastern, but I assume Doodle will account for timezones)
18:01:18 <bexelbie> I am excited that Fedora will get some new ideas :D
18:01:21 * x3mboy neither
18:01:28 <bexelbie> relrod, we ahve folks in India and Europe ...
18:01:44 <bexelbie> any other open floor?
18:01:55 <relrod> bexelbie: well what should the time bounds be? I can add more...
18:02:08 <bexelbie> I suggest you bound it by your maximum availability
18:02:12 <bexelbie> and lets see what happens
18:02:15 * bexelbie usually does that
18:03:07 <bexelbie> I'm gonna close the meeting - I could use the 27 minutes around the house right now :(
18:03:13 <bexelbie> as I am not hearing new items
18:03:15 <bexelbie> thank you all!
