hmm, a lot of people AFK today, and there's nothing on the agenda. (I don't see any new change proposals in https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/1714; the only meeting ticket)
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:36:22
marmijo: is that correct? ^
<@marmijo:fedora.im>
16:36:31
nothing new this week šļø
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:36:38
nice

16:39:11
it looks like at some point in the last couple of days, the updates-archive repo has stopped getting updated
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:40:45
i think currently only dustymabe knows how to poke at it. i'm thinking we need to expand that access so we don't have to bother him :)
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:40:57
i think currently only dustymabe knows how to poke at it. i'm thinking we need to expand that access and knowledge so we don't have to bother him :)
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:41:40
I'll look at the Archive repo manager here soon
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:42:21
yeah - honestly I think we should re-look again at hoisting this service into Openshift (which by default makes it easier for other people to look at)
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:42:31
there are two reasons we are using an AWS instance for this for now
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:42:49
1. use /dev/fuse wasn't easy in openshift at the time this was written (don't know if that has changed now)
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:43:16
2. we are doing a lot of interaction with s3 and being inside AWS might have some benefits (I can't remember if that's true or not)
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:44:03
yeah, i imagine the fuse bit might be much slower if we move out of AWS
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:44:25
but maybe that's ok depending on the amount of churn
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:44:37
correct
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:44:57
that being said, I still don't know why this instance just becomes unstable periodically
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:45:12
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:45:12
so we'd probably need to decide which path we want to take
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:45:30
1. fork to openshift to make it be like our other apps
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:45:30
2. invesitage why instance becomes unstable
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:45:30
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:45:30
OR
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:45:30
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:45:40
i'll file an issue against the repo for that
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:45:40
short-term can we (1) add more people to the authorized_keys, and (2) do a screenshare when you're fixing this?
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:45:53
I've looked at the logs before and they typically don't tell us much
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:46:28
Sounds good. If I can get the baby to go to sleep here I'll be free after the meeting
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:48:11
ok cool, WFM šļø
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:48:38
that's all i had on this topic. any other topics anyone would like to bring up before we move to open floor

Since Iām not really plugged in too much lately. Just wondering how things are going?
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:51:12
(fyi, i'm still catching up from being off for a while, so i might've missed things that happened recently)
<@dustymabe:matrix.org>
16:52:20
Hopefully planned time away and not unexpected bad things!
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:52:40
dustymabe: i can answer that based 2-week-old information :). going alright overall, but certainly feeling your absence :)
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:54:06
we made progress on a bunch of longstanding things, like GC, versioned tags, osbuild things, etc...
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:55:51
yes, planned time off!
<@jlebon:fedora.im>
16:56:06
alrighty, will close the meeting in 60s unless there's anything else
