19:05:27
clearly! thats what they are here for. ;)
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:06:30
So, for me... there's a bit more hardware wrangling in rdu3, but I'm gonna leave it for Gwmngilfen to finish up tomorrow. I'm going to try and work on some dns and dhcp changes for rdu3 today. We still have no external network yet... hopefully soon.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:07:06
I'd like to consider doing a mass update/reboot next week. I might be busy doing installs at rdu3 too, but perhaps I can wrangle James and Gwmngilfen into doing much of the heavy lifting there.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:07:23
and we could look at doing the wiki also during that.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:07:44
would you like to make a outage ticket/status update, email (once the ticket looks right)
<@james:fedora.im>
19:07:51
Yeh, if you want to pick a date/time I'll do the status PR tonight or tomorrow morning.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:08:17
same as usual: monday for staging, tuesday for non outage causing things, wed for outage...
<@james:fedora.im>
19:08:31
Also I updated the template for the email today to not mention IRC anymore ;)
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:08:42
ha, yeah, probibly wise.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:09:25
!info OpenQA moved to nftables today
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:09:53
cool. Is that the very last thing? or... wait, there was copr-hypervisors?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:09:55
Also note that the end of next week is memorial day weekend (following Monday is a holiday).
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:10:08
There's a recharge day coming up soon too...
<@james:fedora.im>
19:10:09
Yeh, copr ... but that might require them moving off rhel8
<@james:fedora.im>
19:10:49
Do we have any remianing F40, other than wiki?
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:11:01
yeah, thats the 23rd... so... 4 day weekend.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:11:23
!info 2025-05-23 is a Red Hat recharge day
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:11:36
!info 2025-05-26 is memorial day holiday
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:11:48
let me doublecheck, but I think wiki was it.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:12:14
bodhi-backend01.stg.iad2.fedoraproject.org -> need to upgrade that sometime
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:12:23
f40-test.fedorainfracloud.org -> needs to be retired.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:12:34
vmhost-p09-copr01.rdu-cc.fedoraproject.org -> needs upgraded sometime
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:12:43
wiki01.iad2.fedoraproject.org / wiki02.iad2.fedoraproject.org
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:12:46
thats it for vm's
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:13:21
sadly, there's some apps that need upgrading/updating. from a quick 'git grep fedora:40"
<@james:fedora.im>
19:14:33
Also ... is it worth using the wiki01/02 thing to do the prod upgrade with no downtime?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:15:25
Hmm, the upgrade part would be a slight problem ... although that only takes 5m or so
<@james:fedora.im>
19:15:58
Other than that ... anything else or 15m for the price of 30m?
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:17:07
well, they use the same db
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:17:17
so, if you upgrade one the other one would get very confused.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:17:31
unless there's no schema changes, but I think there probibly would be
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:18:03
I usually just take them both down, do 01 for the upgrade, then once it's all done, do 02
<@james:fedora.im>
19:18:34
Yeh, upgrade part == DB upgrade part.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:18:57
We have downtime anyway, so it's fine ... we'll do it the easy way.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:19:02
On that note...
<@james:fedora.im>
