low low ops?
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:03:03
well, we actually had this reported long ago.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:03:08
it's a upstream but we cannot fix
<@james:fedora.im>
19:03:30
Yeh, it's better to close and them report this upsteam.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:03:49
can't seem to find it tho
<@james:fedora.im>
19:03:59
It shouldn't be hard to fix ... but it's so much better if people don't have us as the middle people.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:04:43
oh, it could be in pagure-dist-git...
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:05:33
nope, can't find it there either. I could have sworn... oh well.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:06:06
proposal: ask them to file on pagure-dist-git and close upstream?

<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:18:15
thats really a dupe of the last one?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:19:37
I'm not sure ... the comment says, there's a "low / low" here and a "med / low" here ... so maybe we treat it as the low / low to fixup?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:19:52
And send them upstream for the code fix?
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:22:03
well, typically we close things and ask them to file upstream rather than keeping the ticket around for us deploying the fix...
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:22:11
otherwise we would be even more swamped
<@james:fedora.im>
19:22:34
Yeh, I thought they wanted us to do something to dist-git by hand
<@james:fedora.im>
19:23:00
my brain might be lost ... but that's what I thought they meant. (hack fix for us now, and fix so it works in the future)
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:23:01
oh, let me re-read
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:24:01
I'm not fully sure either here. Note that ALL package have a rawhide branch. epel only ones just retire that branch
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:24:16
so it sounds like they were trying to make a epel only with no rawhide branch?
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:24:42
but my brain is mush too...
<@james:fedora.im>
19:24:55
Yeh, that was the other thing ... I wasn't sure if what they wanted was allowed.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:25:19
But figured at least churchyard might know better than me
<@james:fedora.im>
19:25:22
I'm also fine sending them upstream for at least two weeks ;)
<@james:fedora.im>
19:27:46
I'll write a comment and mark it closed upstream ... and they can reopen
<@james:fedora.im>
19:28:13
Then we'll have two minutes for anything else that's going on ;)
<@phsmoura:fedora.im>

!topic Planning, Upcoming work and Open floor
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:29:40
so, I am fighting staging rdu3 openshift install. I sure hope I can get it done today.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:29:47
we are going to be moving staging tomorrow
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:30:14
Oh, and I will be out midday friday... have to run someone to the far airport. ;(
<@phsmoura:fedora.im>
19:30:38
Im reading about AI stuff.. can work in something else while I cant move planet to new ocp
<@james:fedora.im>
19:30:39
DB servers should all be done now.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:30:39
<@james:fedora.im>
19:30:39
RabbitMQ aren't doing so well. Aurélien said he found the problem with the rhel9 packages (said it was to do with TLS) ... but I'm not sure they are working.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:31:48
One problem is that we "fixed" the user filtering ... so when I was running playbooks it was hitting problems because the users were filtered now.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:32:20
So my Plan Z for prod (reinstall with rhel8, as iad2) ... might hit some problems too :(
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:32:24
phsmoura: well, tomorrow we can move staging planet... provided I get the cluster working
<@james:fedora.im>
19:32:47
I'm really hoping Aurélien found the problems and everything works though.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:32:59
ok, let me know and I can take a look at any user issues there.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:33:29
So, the only things left to deploy all use databases... so we could just wait and deploy later. Or we could do them now and have them more ready...
<@james:fedora.im>
19:33:57
user databases?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:34:48
Given the last couple of days, I'd rather try deploying things earlier
<@james:fedora.im>
19:35:06
Let me know what machines/etc. and I'll look into it later tonight.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:35:16
wiki, pkgs (I am deploying that one), koji and ipsilon
<@james:fedora.im>
19:35:40
I thought someone was looking at ipsilon. I can def. do the Wiki.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:36:42
I'll also look at koji01/koji02/koji01.stg
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:37:15
ok. We want to move those to f42 too and ipsilon. I think wiki is already 42
<@james:fedora.im>
19:37:30
Yeh, iad2 wiki moved to 42 a couple of weeks ago
<@phsmoura:fedora.im>
19:37:55
ok
<@phsmoura:fedora.im>
19:37:59
lets go back
<@phsmoura:fedora.im>
19:38:06
we are overtime :/
<@phsmoura:fedora.im>
19:38:24
we can continue on noc :)
