I'm going to try and finish moving people01 at ibiblio (it's the last one), then I'll mail them about various issues and likely ask to schedule a switchover to drop the old vlan
<@james:fedora.im>
19:11:55
Hopefully that goes well.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:12:05
and I hope to make a pass on tickets later if I have time
<@james:fedora.im>
19:12:21
I'm going to learn about aws things from phsmoura .
<@phsmoura:fedora.im>
19:13:28
Ill keep explaining it to you after this meeting
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:13:39
cool. 👍
<@james:fedora.im>
19:14:50
Also TIL about `zgrep 'CHANGED' /var/log/ansible/<playbook>/<year>/<month>/<day>/<hour>.<min>*/*.gz | sed -e 's/{.*}$//'` ... so I don't have to hunt through my terminal history. Can't see any scripts to make it easy to do though, so far.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:16:01
Anyone have anything else?
<@phsmoura:fedora.im>
19:16:46
nirik: James seems not be able to see anything in aws.. maybe his user need some perms?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:17:03
Ahh, that too.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:17:18
James: see also the daily email with changed things from the daily check/diff run
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:17:38
huh, I added him to aws-infra... should have all the infra stuff.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:17:56
it asked you for that group on login?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:18:08
Just asked me for FAS
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:18:50
the saml link should take you to a page where it asks you what role / group you want to login with... it bypassed that?
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:19:29
let me check and see if I failed on the group add
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:20:30
yeah, you show as being in the group
<@james:fedora.im>
19:20:48
No ... I click on the SAML link and it goes to FAS auth. ... then directly to the console.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:21:38
what does it say in the upper right?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:22:03
aws-infra/james
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:22:08
ok, thats right then.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:22:19
but you see nothing? what region are you looking in?
<@james:fedora.im>
19:22:41
Okay, I see a bunch of things under roles ... just a lot of permission denied on the main console screen.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:22:50
ahhh. yes, thats normal.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:22:50
So, maybe I'm good.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:23:20
we have just one account, so we restrict groups by IAM rules... which are default basically "if it's not tagged as your group you can't see it/do anything with it"
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:23:38
if you go to ec2 you should see the infra instancees.
<@nirik:matrix.scrye.com>
19:23:41
if you go to ec2 you should see the infra instances
<@james:fedora.im>
19:25:41
Ahh, okay. Yeh, I click EC2 and see a bunch of servers now. Looks like I can create an instance etc.
<@james:fedora.im>
19:25:53
I'll continue with phsmoura
<@james:fedora.im>
