👋 coremodule
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:02:29
Alright, lets get started :)
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:02:38
!info 1) ==== Working Group ====
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:02:57
I don't think we've had any additional updates in our documentation..
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:03:26
I have a question about a PR.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>

<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:04:47
I removed some references to IRC, pbrobinson thinks it's a good idea to leave them, which I'm fine with, but to play devil's advocate, do we want to continue to advertise IRC since Fedora as a whole has shifted to Matrix? Would it be better to remove said references, but continue to watch the IRC channels in case someone posts there, but not let the community as a whole know we do so?
<@miabbott:fedora.im>
14:06:20
IMO, we should follow what the broader Fedora ecosystem is doing in terms of comms
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:06:24
I'm trying to move away from the IRC myself, but don't see any harm to mention the channel - with the caveat it may be a while for a response
<@coremodule:fedora.im>

<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:06:57
Is IRC mentioned at all in Fedora docs?
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:07:06
Here is what the official Fedora docs say about it.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:07:25
Only that some channels might be mirrored from Matrix onto IRC.
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:07:37
Has that been fixed?
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:07:59
No, not that I'm aware of... I think that bit of doc is also outdated.
<@miabbott:fedora.im>
14:08:13
i don't think the Libera.chat bridge to Matrix is ever going to be fixed or reinstated
<@miabbott:fedora.im>

<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:09:24
Nor I. I still idle on the IRC, and see quite a bit of queries for ARM, but not so much IoT

<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:11:13
Right, ok. So perhaps a mention that it has largely been decommisioned and queries may go unanswered
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:12:00
brb, door
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:12:02
Okay, I can do that! That sounds fair to me.
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:14:05
coremoduledid you have a chance to try out the other doc additions for simplified provisioning?
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:14:43
pwhalen: no I did not.
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:15:19
Ok, be great if you could try it out, we may need to tweak it. Need some fresh eyes on it.. or anyone else who may be idling here, it would be great to have it looked at
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:15:22
I'll give that a look today, when we finish the meeting.

<@pwhalen:fedora.im>

14:18:48
Looks good.
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:20:01
For F41 (or sooner), I would like us to add some new tests for our added features.. fdo, simplified-provisioning, bootc
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:20:43
I'll open some issues in our distro tracker for those
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:21:02
Let me try out the simplified provisioner, then I can start on a testcase.
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:21:13
!action pwhalen to open new issues for new tests in OpenQA
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
14:21:18
!action coremodule to look into adding a simplified provisioner testcase to our matrix.
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
14:21:41
awesome! thanks coremodule
