glad to hear it! same here, more or less
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:04:10
In agenda for today I only have sig membership updates and TDX updates, anything else to discuss?
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
16:05:39
i had something sorta tangentially related that I wanted to bring up -- I keep getting asked about the intersection of CentOS Stream 10 (and others) and OpenStack. -- can wait til Open Floor
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:06:22
ok, despite I guess this should be discussed with openstack sig

<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:07:48
and that's for sig membership updates. This round a few of former oVirt project developer left as they're not working on oVirt anymore and SIG activity is not relevant anymore for them

!topic TDX updates
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:08:11
Reporting updates provided by !fas bonzini
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:08:21
!info We have started the work to update confidential computing guest support in H2 2024 (leading to RHEL 9.6), including support for kexec in TDX guests and support for running SNP guests with an SVSM.
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:08:28
!info We plan to update this and KVM up to upstream kernel 6.12 (roughly) before the end of the year.
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:08:36
!info The TDX kernel was updated to include these patches.
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:08:44
!info CentOS Stream now include support for running SNP guests in qemu and (I think) libvirt.
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:08:59
and that's it for TDX
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:09:11
!topic Open floor
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:09:21
so, let's see if I can help
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
16:09:26
great to hear about TDX !
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
16:09:53
sure, thanks :) and I can find the OpenStack SIG, too, i know the stakeholders there for the most part
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
16:11:37
basically i don't really see any problems, but right now the openstack service projects (openstack-ansible and kolla) don't deploy modular libvirt for EL9... but this obviously has to change for 10. So, I guess my question for this SIG is for guidance on--specifically--converting and upgrading users gracefully from nonmodular to modular libvirt (or if we shouldn't do that)
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:12:55
Looking at https://sig.centos.org/cloud/communication/meetings/ I think they're still having meetings on #centos-devel on libera chat. Perhaps you can ask them there.
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:14:28
Not sure about the plans related to libvirt but I can try asking around
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:16:05
about what's included in CS9 compared to CS10 looks pretty much the same looking at https://kojihub.stream.centos.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=1090
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:17:43
Anything else to be discussed?
<@sbonazzo:fedora.im>
16:19:37
ok, I guess that's it. See you in 2 weeks!
