So, where we are? 2024-12-11 18:17:53 <@pboy:fedora.im> 2024-12-11 18:20:06 <@jwhimpel:fedora.im> Last week, I called it up for viewing. It looked okay to me. Since i was doing this before "Opening Date", I did not submit any data. Is JWF or anyone else able to give us usage data on a regular basis? 2024-12-11 18:21:53 <@pboy:fedora.im> I don't know about the current status, unfortunately. mowest did you receive some infos from Justin? 2024-12-11 18:22:47 <@pboy:fedora.im> And yes, as far as I know you can get info about the data while the poll is running. But I don't know the details how to get it. 2024-12-11 18:23:08 <@pboy:fedora.im> But I think Justin will help us. 2024-12-11 18:26:18 <@mowest:fedora.im> I submitted last Wednesday the newsletter article for comment, haven't received anything back. Was it okay? I think we just need to notify Fedora Magazine to publish the article and have marketing get the news out over social media after article goes live. 2024-12-11 18:28:17 <@pboy:fedora.im> I read the article, but couldn't manage to review and reply. On a first sight it might be a bit short for FedMag. And before we publish we have to be sure the poll is uop and running. 2024-12-11 18:30:02 <@pboy:fedora.im> Well, I can read the proposal again tomorrow. And maybe I have some ideas about what to add. 2024-12-11 18:30:50 <@mowest:fedora.im> I believe the poll at the address in the article is up and running. 2024-12-11 18:31:47 <@pboy:fedora.im> To me it looks the same as last week? Did you see any indication about the status? 2024-12-11 18:32:35 <@pboy:fedora.im> Do you have the link at hand? It's burried here 2024-12-11 18:32:52 <@mowest:fedora.im> My impression was that is the final status 2024-12-11 18:33:33 <@mowest:fedora.im> No I don't have link handy on phone not at computer. 2024-12-11 18:37:13 <@pboy:fedora.im> The link is https://fedoraproject.limequery.com/fedora-server-f41 2024-12-11 18:39:21 <@pboy:fedora.im> OK, I think we should try to ask Justin, to be sure. And I'll respond on mailing list about the article. At the moment, we are stuck, I guess. 2024-12-11 18:39:55 <@pboy:fedora.im> So, let's continue with next topic for now. Any objections? 2024-12-11 18:40:34 <@jwhimpel:fedora.im> Let's move on. 2024-12-11 18:40:39 <@pboy:fedora.im> !topic 3. Anything to add here? 2024-12-11 18:41:40 <@pboy:fedora.im> All WG members who participated voted to keep the message. Any other ideas here? 2024-12-11 18:42:13 <@jwhimpel:fedora.im> I bellieve Martin Pitt has decided not to make the change (see his email from today) 2024-12-11 18:43:02 <@pboy:fedora.im> Yes, nevertheless, we should make a decision here, formaly. It is our matter. 2024-12-11 18:43:28 <@pboy:fedora.im> 2024-12-11 18:43:28 <@pboy:fedora.im> I would prefer it even more if the graphical user interface were explicitly emphasized. 2024-12-11 18:43:28 <@pboy:fedora.im> Instead fo simple "Web console:" something like "Graphical Web console:" 2024-12-11 18:43:28 <@pboy:fedora.im> Not that anyone will get the idea that it is simply a web based text terminal (which is also present, of course). 2024-12-11 18:43:45 <@pboy:fedora.im> Nevertheless, I think there is no objection here. Therefore 2024-12-11 18:43:54 <@pboy:fedora.im> proposed !agreed Regarding bug 1635200, WG agrees to keep the current Cockpit informational message. 2024-12-11 18:44:07 <@pboy:fedora.im> Any objection? 2024-12-11 18:44:15 <@pboy:fedora.im> 3 2024-12-11 18:44:15 <@jwhimpel:fedora.im> I agree 2024-12-11 18:44:29 <@pboy:fedora.im> 2 2024-12-11 18:44:34 <@pboy:fedora.im> 1 2024-12-11 18:44:44 <@pboy:fedora.im> !agreed Regarding bug 1635200, WG agrees to keep the current Cockpit informational message. 2024-12-11 18:45:00 <@pboy:fedora.im> next topic 2024-12-11 18:45:12 <@pboy:fedora.im> !topic 4. Ansible assisted installation and configuration of NFS service 2024-12-11 18:45:22 <@pboy:fedora.im> !link https://pagure.io/fedora-server/issue/138 2024-12-11 18:48:17 <@jwhimpel:fedora.im> It appears that f41's move from dnf to dnf5 has caused my ansible modules some heartburn. It appears it was not a 100% backward compatible upgrade. First indications also suggest that handling "changed when" and "failed when" might be somewhat different in f41. I am still researching those issues. Since sisyphos came back online very recently, I have been able to resume testing. May be able to commit changes to the repository later today. Certainly by tomorrow. 2024-12-11 18:49:29 <@pboy:fedora.im> Yeah, I was bitten by some incompatibilities of dnf5, too. 2024-12-11 18:51:02 <@jwhimpel:fedora.im> I will send a message to the ML when the commit is completed. 2024-12-11 18:51:03 <@pboy:fedora.im> But OK, let's have a look in the comming days. I'm in the process to prepare the information to make an Ansible playbook to set up an advanced mail service. I would like to use your work as a model or template. 2024-12-11 18:51:28 <@pboy:fedora.im> OK, let's move on. 2024-12-11 18:51:43 <@pboy:fedora.im> !topic 5. Work program and goals 2024-12-11 18:52:21 <@pboy:fedora.im> Maybe, we should skip this now. We miss a lot of our members today. 2024-12-11 18:54:52 <@pboy:fedora.im> I wold like to have an open discussion about this and probably to check and collect, what each of us would like to work on. As an example, I would like to continue with Fedora Server in a virtualized environment and I would like to make a 'Home Server' spin specifically for SBC / Raspberry. And I hope others may have additional ideas. 2024-12-11 18:55:49 <@pboy:fedora.im> Well, let's move on for now. 2024-12-11 18:56:01 <@pboy:fedora.im> !topic 6.
