I don't have as much as Yaakov usually does. Does anyone have anything new while I search for my one.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:15:16
Yaakov asked me to look into https://pagure.io/pungi-fedora/pull-request/1476

Michel Lind (salimma) - he / him / his
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:17:07
I don't think it requires much meeting time, rather regular matrix channel time, but I'm not totally sure what the change is going to do.
<@salimma:fedora.im>
19:17:10
Sigh does this work at all
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:17:24
Hi Michel Lind UTC-6 ... yep, we see you.
<@salimma:fedora.im>
19:17:40
Good, message sync between my accounts seem wonky
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:18:02
I'm also getting delayed messages looks like
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:18:27
Is there any other new ELN business before I move on to old business?

Hi Michael L. Young
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:19:50
Oh, I almost missed the Missing License

19:20:07
!link https://github.com/fedora-eln/eln/issues/245
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:20:59
We have some code in the ELN repo, that was put there while we were still setting things up and figuring things out.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:21:23
The code is still there, and nobody put a license on their code.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:22:03
Thus far, I believe the consensus is to just remove the code rather than put some license on it.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:22:32
Does anyone have objections to that?
<@salimma:fedora.im>
19:23:02
if we can't find who wrote it and get their consent, and are pretty sure they no longer work anyway... yeah
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:23:53
Well, we know who wrote most of it. It's just that at the time, we weren't thinking of licenses and just threw it up. And ... nowdays none of it works.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:24:16
At least my stuff doesn't.
<@salimma:fedora.im>
19:24:18
that sounds good enough to me :)
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:25:16
I guess we can finish it up in the ticket. ... but if anyone has an opinion, put it in the ticket.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:25:32
Moving on to old business
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:25:47
!topic Old business
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:26:09
Does anyone have any old ticket / things they want to talk about, before I pick three old issues?
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:27:58
Hmm ... picking some old issues is harder than Yaakov makes it look.
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
19:28:12
hehe
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:29:20
OK, here's one.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:29:29
!link https://github.com/fedora-eln/eln/issues/223
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:31:04
Does anyone know the status of getting systemd-standalone-sysusers into RHEL CRB, or some place accessable to image builds?
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:32:07
I know the shift in how users are added in spec files affects EPEL packages, if not done right.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:32:38
I'm not totally sure how it's affecting the ELN packages and image builds.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:34:14
I'll take the silence to mean that others don't know as much as I do.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:34:37
!link https://github.com/fedora-eln/eln/issues/227
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:35:21
I didn't know about this issue.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:36:07
I know that for me, and possibly others, it would be easier to move everything over into the Fedora-ELN workgroup.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:36:26
(is workgroup the right name, I'm not sure what github calls them)
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:37:22
Is everyone ok with moving things over? Or do you think it's going to affect your workflows?
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
19:37:38
moving it over makes sense i suppose
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
19:37:51
especially if it makes managing things easier
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
19:38:01
fwiw, Github calls them Organizations
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:38:09
I think the biggest thing it would affect would be https://github.com/minimization/content-resolver-input
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
19:38:41
Yep, i think we'd need to do a bit of an effort to update links, even if a redirect does work for an indefinite time
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:39:16
Yeah we'd have a few things to update but this should be fine
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:39:58
As we were discussing in epel, another option is waiting till forejo exists and consider moving everything there instead. Or using gitlab.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:40:06
I think in the long run, it will make things less confusing. Whenever I do content-resolver work, I always go to the wrong place first.
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:40:08
I don't personally have a strong preference here
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
19:40:42
having it in minimization also ... minimizes, what it does, i think
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:40:53
Hmm ... that's a good point. If fedora is going to forgio ... just wait and move it all over there would be a good idea.
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
19:41:07
hm that's a good point too re: forgejo/gitlab
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
19:41:20
i defer to y'all who are doing most of the work 😃
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:42:26
Although moving it all to gitlab would make it easier to do the ELN -> CentOS Stream sync easier ... having it close to the Fedora -> ELN sync (in forgio) also has it's appeals.
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:43:32
Yeah I think this is one of those projects that could go either way. For gitlab one issue to consider is you'd need to move under either redhat or centos or you won't have an enterprise account
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:44:18
Good point.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:44:39
I'm curious what way Yaakov is leaning.
<@salimma:fedora.im>
19:44:48
Need to bounce
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:44:57
After the meeting, I'll put these various things in the issue.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:45:12
Michel Lind UTC-6: Any conflicts with next weeks meeting?
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:45:41
I was going to move on, and it looks like that is next on the agenda.

<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:46:24
I don't have any conflicts next week, and Yaakov should be back as well.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:48:35
Well, let's move on to Open Floor then
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:48:59
Michel and I have a work event I think
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:49:37
Ahh ... ok, so that drops the numbers .
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:49:46
[@salimma:fedora.im](https://matrix.to/#/@salimma:fedora.im) is it next week or the one after? I don't actually remember offhand
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:49:58
(the kernel thing)
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:52:41
I think Michel has already left. We'll have to figure it out during the week on the regular Matrix channel.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:52:44
!topic Open Floor
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:52:52
anything else before we close?
<@davide:cavalca.name>
19:53:14
Yeah I can check later, don't have the work calendar handy rn
<@salimma:fedora.im>
19:54:04
Week after next
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:54:39
OK, so it sounds like next week should be good for everyone.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:55:57
It's looking like our time is almost up.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
19:56:17
Thank you all for coming and discussing. And sorry for my late start.
