15:12:01
One of the changes proposed is a change in the mindshare seat structuring. There is a need to have more focused support on 'program administrators' who would help support local events in the geo-regions Fedora is part of
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:12:56
The committee would continue to have a CommOps, Community Architect and Marketing rep
<@jflory7:fedora.im>
15:13:14
Actually, we do not have a Marketing Team rep today, I think?
<@jflory7:fedora.im>
15:13:44
Nope.
<@jflory7:fedora.im>
15:13:47
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:14:04
ah ok, we are adding this seat in intentionally then with this change
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:15:10
The proposal is requesting Mindshare refocus around specific activities
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:15:58
The first is Regional Event Support, which would be one of the main responsibilities of the project administrators to oversee for a region they are connected to
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:16:35
The second refocus for the committee is to be more intentional in providing Recognition Service
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:17:39
This activity is expected to help teams and initiatives that happen in the project support and reward our/their contributors
<@jflory7:fedora.im>

(Just so it gets grouped with previous logs in Møte)
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:18:22
Ah ok, I started the meeting already earlier anyway
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:18:54
The final refocus would be to try to support more Digital Ambassadorship for the project
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:19:09
this is where we need to help Marketing more, and follow their best practices :)
<@jflory7:fedora.im>
15:19:41
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:25:58
One of the biggest challenges to find a way to make this successful will be to increase desire for people wanting to be part of mindshare
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:26:42
The conversation on the mindshare committee proposed changes will continue during the fedora council meeting next week, and will continue past that too with the wider community
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:26:51
!topic Fedora/RHEL/CentOS Leadership
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:27:46
!info Brendan Conoboy is hosting a conversation around the absence in dialogue that these three groups dont seem to have and would like to change this
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:29:03
Brendan has already discussed this with the CentOS Board and they are on board (no pun intended!) in bringing our communication and conversations together better
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:29:27
Next step is on the tour is Fedora Council, and here we are :)
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:30:07
Theres also been a great few articles from Brendan on discussion.fpo that references n this topic
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:30:14
Theres also been a great few articles from Brendan on discussion.fpo that references this topic
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:30:38
The goal is to have these groups have better dialogue *with each other*
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:32:42
Thought exercise - what would a three-way communication space or strategy look like between Fedora, CentOS and RHEL
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:34:10
Theres already a good relationship between CentOS and Fedora for supporting each distro at events, etc. Eg CentOS track @ Flock, Fedora attendance at Connect, etc. Seems like the space might be more on the RHEL <-> these communities side
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:35:17
Theres a suggestion to create an open meeting between Fedora, CentOS and RHEL, and theres also a suggestion to do a Podcast
<@amoloney:fedora.im>
15:36:54
The method is still up for debate, but the goal of bringing whats happening in RHEL that will affect Fedora and CentOS be a bit more transparent via some kind of dialogue, and vice versa (what happens in CentOS and Fedora that affects RHEL) is agreeable to everyone

A good point: Communication is going to be key to help the three amigos (Fedora, CentOS and RHEL) work better together, but there needs to be substance and intent when we communicate together so actions can happen and outcomes can be reached
