Information about MeetBot at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Zodbot#Meeting_Functions. 18:29:33 Useful Commands: #action #agreed #halp #info #idea #link #topic. 18:29:33 The meeting name has been set to 'docs' 18:29:35 #topic Roll call 18:30:33 #topic Roll call 18:31:15 I'm here for once :) 18:32:21 hello petr 18:33:03 how are you? 18:33:57 I'm good, how about you? 18:34:46 I'm well, thanks. 18:36:23 it appears just you and me today who are present. 18:36:33 Looks like it, yeah 18:37:01 could we jumpt to open floor quickly? Peter Boy can't make it today. 18:37:17 or I can postpone it to next week 18:37:47 Either works, really. I just wanted to say that I'm working on release notes, I've got a couple of contributors lined up so it should be better than last time :) 18:38:29 that's good to hear. Release note is one of the high impact documentation. 18:38:33 #topic Open floor 18:38:56 maybe we could spend a few minutes 18:39:54 I guesss release notes are suitable to dev team/packagers, right? 18:40:11 What do you mean by suitable? 18:40:49 I mean good fit for their interest and skills 18:41:13 If you mean if they're target audience, I'd say most of them just go by the wiki. The relnotes are more for end users, although there are some minutia in there that the vast majority of users don't need to care about. 18:42:12 A lot of relnotes cover updates to compilers and interpreters. LLVM, glibc, python, Boost, Java, that kind of stuff. So that's for people who develop software on Fedora, but don't necessarily package it or have any involvement with the project. 18:43:00 Another usually large category is distro changes, stuff like, I dunno, "Fedora now has ARM support" or "There's a new edition, check it out" 18:44:21 i see. For the last few months, Peter and I have focused on Quick Docs mostly due to high traffic on Google seerch. 18:44:54 Yup, that's a good area to focus on 18:44:56 We could only do well on one thing at a time. So I want to spend more time with it. 18:45:36 I do like QDs. Noone wants to read an entire guide when a short article is sufficient 18:45:41 Peter and I started interactive writing workshop last week. Please spread the word if you can. 18:46:10 Yeah, I saw. Nice :) 18:46:11 I have a ccouple of loal Red Hat events in London, so try to be active in face to face meeting 18:46:58 last week I went to Ansible event in London. 18:48:04 I hope I can also get in touch with Red Hatters, who wish to contribute to Fedora. Ah last week in witing workshop, there was a new collegue from Red Hat. 18:50:24 it was great chatting with you. maybe we can end meeting if there are no more topics to discuss 18:57:49 Fine with me :) 18:59:19 okay have a good evening if I'm correct with your timezone. 19:00:18 #endmeeting
