!topic EPEL 10
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:06:43
Do we have any news / progress for EPEL 10 this week?
<@dherrera:fedora.im>
18:07:38
Nothing much on my side, besides getting some pending things merged
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:08:08
I guess we did not cover that Evolution is in EPEL10 now :)
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:08:11
Diego Herrera: I did see that you closed a few tickets. I just want to thank you again for getting the branching and other things done.
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:08:14
I've been dogfooding it and it works well
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:08:39
Cool. It seems strange ... but cool anyway.
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:09:22
bring back RHEL / CentOS Workstation :D
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:09:57
*laughs* ... well ... I'm going to keep my mouth shut.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:10:11
Anything else before I move on?
<@dherrera:fedora.im>
18:10:21
let's move on ;)
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:10:31
!topic Old Business
<@nhanlon:beeper.com>
18:10:34
Nice re: evolution 🙂 always good to have options for people that don't want to use mutt 😛
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:11:02
oh I use mutt too
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:11:27
I'm debating on saying !epel 322 is old business or not.
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:11:30
but yeah my carddav package is still blocked on so many dependencies for epel10, while evolution handles that built in, so... yay I have my addresses
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:12:02
That's on getting the policy of having "epel" in the name documented.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>

<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:12:52
It's old business, because we already had the discussion about it ... but new because ... well, we need to get it documented, and possibly voted on.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:13:13
I still haven't found it in the meeting minutes, but I'm also terrible at grepping them.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:14:06
Anyway, if someone knows when we talked about that, even if it's down to a 6 month timeframe ... please put it in the ticket.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:14:29
That's all I have for Old Business ... anything else someone wants to bring up?
<@dherrera:fedora.im>
18:14:38
yeah :)
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:14:43
oh fun
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:15:03
yeah ... someone recently wanted to use -epel for something very different, right? selinux policies?
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:15:52
Well, it's different in that it's not missing packages, but it also falls into the "this is really only for epel"
<@dherrera:fedora.im>
18:15:54
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2346531
<@dherrera:fedora.im>

I think it was that one
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:16:35
Correct
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:16:43
I made it into this ticket
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:16:47
do they have examples of packages that would be covered by this policy?
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:16:51

Michel Lind UTC-6: That's why I'm trying to find where we had the discussion ... so it will be easier to say "here is the policy, here is the recommendation"
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:18:09
Otherwise we've got to have the whole discussion again ... and I seem to remember it being long. :(
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:18:41
yeah let's move on :)
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:18:54
and just update the ticket if we find the previosu discussion?
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:19:40
Diego Herrera: Was your "yeah" meaning you had something? Or that we should move on?
<@dherrera:fedora.im>
18:20:01
yes :) it's regarding the docs PR that got merged last week
<@dherrera:fedora.im>
18:21:08
since last week the big docs PR was merged, I went through the other active PRs. Of the 4, only 2 of them weren't able to rebase cleanly (both yours Michel Lind UTC-6 ), so I wen't and rebased them in my fork if you want to continue working on them :)
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:21:48
Diego Herrera: Thank you for doing that.
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:22:12
oh, thank you!
<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:22:39
I need to find time to start doing docs, been dragged into other things too much
<@dherrera:fedora.im>
18:23:10
but that's it :)

<@salimma:fedora.im>
18:26:10
this is a quiet meeting :)
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:26:13
Is everyone ok with closing the meeting early?
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:27:08
Thank you all for comming, for the good (and short) discussions. And mostly, thank you all for all you do for EPEL and it's community.
<@tdawson:fedora.im>
18:27:17
I'll talk to ya'll next week, if not sooner.
