Hello team, who is around today to take a look at Fedora ARM?
<@jlinton:fedora.im>
15:06:27
Pretty silent in here, maybe we should combine some of the other Arm related groups, asahi and IoT/etc here?
<@jforbes:fedora.im>
15:06:52
morning
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:07:44
Hi jlinton and jforbes
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:08:23
We could, but currently IoT has it's own meetings on Wednesdays. That's something we could posit for discussion at both meetings.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:08:34
We've got quorum, let's run through what we have today.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>

!topic 1) ==== Current Release ====
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:08:52
!info Fedora-40-20240924.0
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:08:58
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:10:07
The tests on F40 haven't run yet, but I don't have any reason to believe there's an issue with F40. Anyone have anything of mention for F40?
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:10:48
Also, hi nirik :)
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:11:25

<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:12:03
Onto kernel status! jforbes, any updates here?
<@jforbes:fedora.im>
15:12:08
We will be doing test week for 6.11 next week
<@jforbes:fedora.im>
15:12:33
That's likely the only real interesting tidbit.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:14:02
Great! Do you have a link to the test day page jforbes? I can't seem to find it in the calendar...
<@jforbes:fedora.im>
15:14:56
I am not sure that it has been created yet. We kinda expected Linus to release 6.11 this Sunday, not the Sunday before. And since I was travelling I ended up a week late in requesting the test day stuff
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:15:37
No problem! I'll note it here and when I see the email, I'll make mention in the ARM group to get as much focus there as we can.
<@jforbes:fedora.im>
15:16:05
Yes, arm testing is always one of the places we have low coverage
<@jlinton:fedora.im>
15:16:14
I've had a few of the -RC's running, no issues on any of those platforms.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:16:18
!note Kernel 6.11 Test Week coming next week! 0929 to 1005. Details to follow.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:16:40
Agreed jlinton, in my testing, I haven't seen any issues with the RCs.
<@jlinton:fedora.im>
15:16:47
(although there is an x13s issue I saw, that i've not tracked down)
<@jforbes:fedora.im>
15:17:15
I know there was an x13s issue with firmware, but didn't know about a kernel one
<@jlinton:fedora.im>
15:17:39
I'm not sure where it was, It showed up with a pile of updates, so it could be the firmware.
<@jforbes:fedora.im>
15:18:19
Funny thing about firmware is, you can get the update and not see an issue, but when you get a new kernel, the updated firmware ends up in the initramfs and suddenly the issue is visible

15:20:19

15:21:13
We did get a new bootloader within the last week, I have not had a chance to test it, has anyone looked into it?
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
15:22:16
I tested it on the rpi3/4 - https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2024-e29efaa15e
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:22:50
Thanks pwhalen. And hi too :)
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
15:23:49
Good morning, sorry I'm late, a little under the weather
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:23:59
No worries at all.

15:25:09
The tests on today's compose are currently running, so we don't currently have data.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:26:07
That said, based off Saturday's test run, things look good from what I can see.
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
15:26:53
Looks like OpenQA isn't healthy, lots of aarch64 jobs waiting

<@coremodule:fedora.im>

Yeah... We have a QA meeting coming up in 3 minutes, I'll inquire there and see what I can find out.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:27:45
Anything glaring regarding F41 to talk about?
<@pwhalen:fedora.im>
15:28:19
nothing here.
<@jlinton:fedora.im>
15:28:45
yes, I was going to ask why so many are scheduled but the final status remains good.
<@coremodule:fedora.im>
15:29:05
I'll find out and let you know in the ARM channel. Give me an hour or so...
