19:06:08 <leothecat1> 🎉
19:06:24 <nirik> I need to do some release prep today (make torrents, etc).
19:06:47 <nirik> later this week after we are out of freeze we can land all the backed up PR's we have
19:06:54 <nirik> oh and...
19:07:04 <nirik> #info nirik out next week on PTO / thanksgiving holiday
19:07:18 <smooge> have a good week
19:08:12 <nirik> oh, and it turns out we didn't actually get the q4 hardware I thought we did... but we might get some of it if we can get it delivered before the end of the year...
19:08:21 <smooge> ok
19:09:07 <nirik> and we have access to pdu's in IAD2, but... at least one of them seems broken/not working to me, so hopefully someone can fix it.
19:09:39 * nirik ties to think of anything else fun...
19:10:18 <nirik> I think thats all.
19:10:44 <smooge> nothing from me. was ill over the weekend so didn't do anything but feed a stray cat
19:11:07 <smooge> oh i did have a question
19:12:00 <smooge> I saw that batcave's swap seems to get cycled off and on around 1000 UTC but I didn't find a cron job
19:12:25 <smooge> i probably missed something
19:12:29 <nirik> it seems like the check/diff ansible job causes it to go into swap...
19:12:35 <nirik> I sometimes manually clear it.
19:12:46 <nirik> but after freeze I think we should just stop monitoring swap on it.
19:12:59 <nirik> newer kernels just seem to be more swappy
19:14:29 <nirik> or rather, less unswappy... ie, they swap things out and never want to bother swapping them back in
19:14:54 <smooge> yeah understood
19:15:13 <smooge> ok that was it from me.
19:15:40 <nirik> yeah, nothing more from me.
19:15:46 <phsmoura> I'm gathering information about fedora infra to understand the big picture. Also looking for something to work on. BTW nirik, will these mgmt machines update after freezing? and about the infra 10982 issue, could you ping me when you start working on it?
19:17:00 <nirik> cool. yeah, we will want to update those machines the next mass update/reboot cycle. Thats not next week, but likely week after... if you want to take a look and see what newer versions of bios/firmware are available we could figure out what all needs upgrading there.
19:17:30 <nirik> on 10982... yeah. I asked some questions in the ticket. I am not sure how it could be failing. :(
19:18:41 <nirik> there's likely some more tickets for you if you want too. ;)
19:19:16 <nirik> possibly 10877... I haven't gotten time to look into that one, but it happens in stg too, so I think it might be a permission issue or selinux or something.
19:20:18 <phsmoura> ok, I can check how to update them. hope we can reuse the same script. 10877, Ill take a look at it
19:20:58 <nirik> yeah, do be carefull not to update them until the outage... some of them only update on rebooting, but some just update as soon as you upload the firmware. ;(
19:21:09 <nirik> but you can test with some staging one.
19:22:00 <nirik> anyhow, if you have any questions on anything just let me know. ;)
19:22:42 <phsmoura> cool, I was going only to see how to do it, but maybe Ill try on stg then.
19:22:50 <phsmoura> sure, thanks :)
19:23:24 <phsmoura> I also dont have anything else
19:24:49 <phsmoura> thanks all for joining :)
