I mean, I can try and deploy things, etc... but I never have had a lot of understanding of that pipeline. 18:06:30 so, it could be you? ;) Or could be general tickets and we can try and find people to work on them? 18:06:31 * geppetto nods … I know enough to deploy/upgrade it etc. 18:06:49 So I might as well do that bit, and then disown it … haha 18:07:17 😢 :) 18:07:30 do we have a sop on it? 18:08:13 I guess there's this: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/infra/sysadmin_guide/dnf-counting/ 18:08:19 which I bet is out of date now. ;( 18:08:26 I'm not sure … I thought Nils was updating something like that, but it trns out he was just doing docs for developers to do a new release (git => rpm) 18:09:07 wait a sec… 18:09:13 Yeh, wouldn't be shocked to have no SOP docs, or have them be out of date 18:09:25 nils: Ha, you are supposed to be eating dinner now ;) 18:09:35 heh 18:09:51 Dinner is delayed this week, my wife has late shift 18:10:10 nirik, what are the next steps for the awx collection rpm? 18:10:12 I'll pop something in the oven in an hour-ish 18:10:29 geppetto, told you about the sieve qualities of my memory, eh? 18:10:38 I think I did something about the SOP, let me check 18:11:21 geppetto, nirik: “Changes implemented in the Q2/2023 DNF mirrors-countme initiative” now there we go 18:11:25 aheath1992: so, you can continue the new package process there now. I sponsored you. Get it built for fedora and epel9... once thats done, we can look at installing it and see what else we are missing. 18:11:44 nils++ 18:11:44 geppetto: Karma for nphilipp changed to 3 (for the release cycle f38): https://badges.fedoraproject.org/tags/cookie/any 18:11:59 ah, ok. 18:12:25 I started looking at our spam fighting issue. I know that sometimes we have spams in mailing lists, repos in pagure, comments in issues and here at IRC.. also saw in noggin is being implemented a captcha. nirik: do you think I should look into it and try to implement something to avoid spams or do something else? 18:12:25 Other than that, the basic usage of the thing hasn’t changed too much, cronjobs call shell scripts which know how to call the Python scripts 18:12:39 18:13:52 Ok, and the second thing is in regards to: https://pagure.io/releng/issue/8601 18:14:35 phsmoura: well, there's always spam... but I don't think there's any global way to avoid it. I think we need to be very targeting working on things that will have the most value there... the captcha might help... otherwise I am not sure what will. 18:14:43 Posted an update in the ticket … just need a bit of guidance on where to go from here. 18:15:08 geppetto: awesome. Yeah, I marked that to reply to, but haven't gotten there yet. :) 18:15:50 * geppetto nods … ok, np … no rush on it, just wanted to make sure it didn't go to a folder nobody saw as the previous update was a long time ago. 18:16:20 That's it for me then 18:17:10 Basically there's 2 scripts that generate web pages ( https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/mass-rebuild/f39-failures.html and https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/mass-rebuild/f39-need-rebuild.html that it would be nice to add those older ones too, but that less important than the script that files the failedtobuild bugs. Thats really where it would be nice to file the bug somehow and say that it's not been rebuilt, etc. 18:17:20 I can look at it and update the ticket soon. 18:17:45 so my things... speaking of spam (although this wasn't spam really): 18:17:47 nirik, thanks for you help 18:19:20 ok thanks nirik, Ill keep looking at our issues 18:19:26 is there anything else? 18:19:29 Our mailman instance got into a nasty loop. I think what happened was this: something generated a email that mailman couldn't process as a bounce, so it sent to the mailing list owners. One of those had an account that was not longer there and the mail server bounced back with a 'sorry, this user isn't valid' but in a format that mailman couldn't see as a bounce. So, it sent it to the mailing list owners... the circle of life. 18:19:59 so I deleted a bunch of stuff in our queue and set that inactive lists owners to nobody@fedoraproject.org (/dev/null) 18:20:19 it's still processing them down though... I think there were about 300k when I fixed things... 18:20:36 down to just over 200k. whee 18:21:13 Anyhow, I think thats all I had... phsmoura: I can try and look for something for you... did you still want more developery things? or ? 18:23:17 ok, Im going to talk with steve after this daily.. Ill ping you after that? is it ok? Just asked about the spams cause my name is on miro board in that task :) 18:23:36 sure. let me know if I can help anytime. 18:24:02 thanks 18:24:21 anyone has anything else? 18:25:05 nope 18:25:45 lets get back then 18:25:52 thanks everyone :) 18:25:57 #endmeeting
