15:00:16 <coremodule> #topic roll call
15:00:28 <coremodule> Good morning all, who is around today for an IoT meeting?
15:00:35 * pwhalen is here
15:00:40 <pwhalen> Good morning
15:01:31 <coremodule> hey pwhalen
15:04:16 <pwhalen> Howdy coremodule!
15:04:37 * pbrobinson is here
15:05:59 <pwhalen> coremodule: shall we start?
15:06:51 <coremodule> yes, lets
15:07:01 <coremodule> hi pbrobinson
15:07:09 <coremodule> #topic 1) ==== Working Group process and admin  ====
15:07:10 <coremodule> #link https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/iot/
15:07:43 * pwhalen has nothing for admin
15:08:01 <pbrobinson> as usual docs need review but no one ever does...
15:08:02 <coremodule> I am working with Sudhir, it sounds like we might have 11 or 12 interns joining RH who want to work specifically on IoT. I will keep you posted, but will probably have them join the meeting once all the details are sorted out.
15:08:23 <coremodule> I don't know much more than that at the moment.
15:08:30 <pbrobinson> who is Sudhir?
15:08:55 <coremodule> my boss
15:09:21 <pwhalen> Sounds good, we can use the help
15:09:23 <coremodule> I will keep you posted.
15:09:34 <pwhalen> thanks
15:10:01 <coremodule> let me just pull up the openQA results quick
15:11:05 <pbrobinson> for admin?
15:11:31 <coremodule> #topic 2) ==== Fedora 37 status ====
15:11:31 <coremodule> #info Fedora-IoT-37-20221101.0
15:11:31 <coremodule> #link https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/overview?distri=fedora&version=37&build=Fedora-IoT-37-20221101.1&groupid=1&groupid=5
15:11:49 <coremodule> pbrobinson, no for f37 so we can change topics
15:11:51 <coremodule> here we go
15:12:49 <pbrobinson> other than openqa what other testing is being done?
15:13:18 <coremodule> manual testing from me, I don't know about anything other than that
15:13:34 <coremodule> Do we know which image we will want to use for the release? or is it too early to tell
15:14:12 <pbrobinson> too early to tell, I expect a raft of updates based on the v5 not a RC test image inc a jump to the 6. kernel
15:15:05 <pwhalen> yea, I was wondering what is happening with the RC, I dont see one for mainline Fedora yet.
15:15:44 <pbrobinson> they're waiting for a fix for the kernel issue I believe, which I think is nearly there
15:16:14 <pwhalen> ok, right. Yiikes, so little time to sign off for tomorrow
15:17:08 <pbrobinson> I thought the next release window was the 15th so we have a week
15:17:50 <pwhalen> coremodule: manually testing on the rpi3 and rpi4? Asking so I dont duplicate. I'll test the fitlet2 .. I dont think you have one of those..
15:18:18 <pbrobinson> from the no-go: The next Fedora Linux 37 Final Go/No-Go meeting[3] will be held at
15:18:18 <pbrobinson> 1700 UTC on Thursday 10 November in #fedora-meeting. We will aim for
15:18:21 <coremodule> pwhalen, yeah, mostly on rpi4, but I do test on rpi3 less frequently
15:18:28 <coremodule> yeah, we still have a week
15:19:38 <pwhalen> thanks, I though we were aiming for tomorrow. much better.
15:19:57 <coremodule> pwhalen, I don't have a fitlet, thanks for the testing there
15:20:24 <coremodule> I'll cover rpi3+4 and x86
15:20:38 <pwhalen> ok thanks, rpi3 is listed as supported, so we should make sure it works
15:20:59 <coremodule> wilco!
15:22:00 <pbrobinson> once we have something closer to a RC we'll have composes but the nightlies are tracking pretty close to RCs minus 5
15:22:17 <pwhalen> odd that the 'release_identification' test now fails on x86, when it used to be only aarch64.
15:22:26 <coremodule> Next meeting we can talk about which IoT compose to use at the release, if we come up with something earlier than next Wed, can you ping me in fedora-iot so we can start testing as early as possible?
15:22:48 <coremodule> I'm rerunning the test, selinux also failed but it looks like it was a hang-up
15:24:14 <coremodule> do we want to discuss F38 today?
15:24:31 <pwhalen> sure
15:24:31 <pbrobinson> sure
15:25:21 <coremodule> #topic 3) ==== Fedora 38 status ====
15:25:22 <coremodule> #info Fedora-IoT-38-20221005.0
15:25:22 <coremodule> #link https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/overview?distri=fedora&version=38&build=Fedora-IoT-38-20221005.0&groupid=1&groupid=5
15:25:50 <coremodule> I haven't looked at F38 in a month, been focused on F37
15:26:15 <pbrobinson> well it's still broken with the osbuild stuff
15:26:17 <pwhalen> The f38 composes are currently failing on the iso, which is now using osbuild. There was a package renamed, and I think the spec needed some fixes. Submitted those, but we still need a build for it
15:26:56 <pbrobinson> and I think we still need to have the osbuild PR merged, there is work to do
15:27:12 <pbrobinson> it all feels glacial
15:27:21 <pwhalen> this is the package fix https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/sil-scheherazade-fonts/pull-request/2#
15:27:27 <coremodule> #info F38 is broken due to osbuild issues, fixes are inbound.
15:27:35 <coremodule> #link https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/sil-scheherazade-fonts/pull-request/2#
15:27:59 <pwhalen> pbrobinson: the osbuild pr might not be needed, I can make the requested change though if you'd like
15:30:52 <pbrobinson> pwhalen: what happens if they drop the obsoletes in 2 releases, it breaks then, it should still happen so we don't rely on something that has changed
15:31:32 <pwhalen> ok, I'll update the osbuild pr today
15:31:41 <pbrobinson> pwhalen++
15:31:41 <zodbot> pbrobinson: Karma for pwhalen changed to 1 (for the current release cycle): https://badges.fedoraproject.org/tags/cookie/any
15:32:42 <pwhalen> coremodule: I think we can continue, unless there was anything else for today?
15:32:47 <pwhalen> er, for this topic
15:32:56 <coremodule> alright, I don't have anything else
15:33:02 <coremodule> #topic 4) ==== Open Floor ====
15:33:10 <coremodule> anything for the open floor?
15:33:27 <pwhalen> Nothing from me.
15:33:44 <coremodule> Alright! pbrobinson?
15:35:36 <coremodule> closing in 3
15:35:39 <coremodule> 2
15:35:41 <coremodule> 1
