16:08:00 <pwhalen> sorry about the late start, apparently I need to work out how to book the channel on matrix
16:08:32 <pwhalen> #topic 1) ==== Working Group ====
16:09:19 <pwhalen> Does anyone have anything for working group today?
16:09:51 <miabbott> pwhalen: you mentioned having the meeting in matrix...
16:10:24 <pwhalen> Yes, we discussed it last week. I need to work out how to book the room/channel over there
16:10:24 <miabbott> i may have missed past discussion about the use of matrix...should we update our docs etc to indicate the project is preferring matrix now? (with an irc fallback)
16:10:59 <miabbott> (the docs may already reflect that, so i am just being lazy)
16:11:02 <pbrobinson> I think a doc update makes sense
16:11:06 <pwhalen> right, I'll work it out for next week and update the docs
16:11:40 <miabbott> could i suggest just creating an issue on iot-distro so that we could delegate it?
16:12:03 <pwhalen> sure
16:12:09 <miabbott> ty
16:12:42 <miabbott> #action pwhalen to create issue on iot-distro to update docs the use of matrix
16:13:00 <miabbott> guess i'm not chair ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
16:13:11 <pbrobinson> :-P

16:13:57 <pwhalen> anything else?
16:14:17 <pwhalen> #topic 2) ==== Fedora 39 - Stable ====
16:14:17 <pwhalen> #info OpenQA testing - https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/overview?distri=fedora&version=39&build=Fedora-IoT-39-20240111.0&groupid=1&groupid=5
16:14:41 <pwhalen> The regular failures.
16:15:44 <pwhalen> #action pwhalen to create new issues about OpenQA failures.
16:15:56 <pwhalen> The clevis test should now work on aarch64
16:16:44 <pwhalen> Zezere likely needs more time for aarch64
16:17:01 <pwhalen> Anything else for F39?
16:17:22 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Fedora 40 - Rawhide ====
16:17:22 <pwhalen> #info OpenQA testing - https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/overview?distri=fedora&version=40&build=Fedora-IoT-40-20240111.0&groupid=1&groupid=5
16:17:44 <pbrobinson> A bunch of changes filed, should hit the list today
16:17:54 <pwhalen> #undo
16:17:54 <zodbot> Removing item from minutes: INFO by pwhalen at 16:17:22 : OpenQA testing - https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/overview?distri=fedora&version=40&build=Fedora-IoT-40-20240111.0&groupid=1&groupid=5
16:18:15 <pbrobinson> why the undo?
16:18:30 <pwhalen> #topic 3) ==== Fedora 40 - Rawhide ====
16:18:31 <pwhalen> #info OpenQA testing - https://openqa.fedoraproject.org/tests/overview?distri=fedora&version=40&build=Fedora-IoT-40-20240112.0&groupid=1&groupid=5
16:18:38 <pbrobinson> A bunch of changes filed, should hit the list today
16:19:00 <pwhalen> I think my undo is just for the zodbot
16:19:16 <pwhalen> I had the wrong date, not that it really matters
16:20:31 <pwhalen> #info OpenQA  still failing on needle issues - https://github.com/osbuild/images/issues/309
16:21:02 <pwhalen> I think we need to decide how to fix, then create some cards to implement
16:21:09 <miabbott> 👍
16:22:03 <pwhalen> will need to be discussed with the IB folks, see if they have a preference
16:23:08 <pwhalen> #info IoT Changes for Fedora 40:

16:24:29 <pwhalen> #link https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Fedora_IoT_Bootable_Container
16:24:32 <pbrobinson> I'm excited on all of this :)
16:25:15 <pwhalen> sorry, wrong one for the simplied installer
16:25:34 <pwhalen> #link https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/IoTSimplifiedProvisioning
16:25:58 <pwhalen> I changed it over to simplified provisioning, as we have intended to do
16:26:20 <pwhalen> We'll need to update things for consistency
16:26:58 <pwhalen> Anything else to discuss for F40?
16:27:22 <pwhalen> #info Fedora 40 schedule - https://fedorapeople.org/groups/schedule/f-40/f-40-key-tasks.html
16:27:56 <pbrobinson> Mass rebuild starts tomorrow
16:28:18 <pwhalen> #info Mass rebuild for F40 begins tomorrow.
16:28:36 <miabbott> one thing i would suggest for the iot project, is that we review the individual changes for F40 so we can understand if there is any impact to IoT that we need to react to
16:29:17 <jlinton> I will mention here the same as what I mentioned in the arm meeting, that the renesas folks are interested in assuring their boards work with Fedora IoT, I think johnv (from renesas) tried to join this meeting but is having IRC issues. Jforbes merged his kernel config changes the other day for 6.7+.
16:29:17 <pbrobinson> agreed, I have had a basic review, but a more in depth one is probably good, suggestions on how that's achieved?
16:29:27 <pwhalen> Sounds good, I noticed the coreos folks create an issue with them all listed
16:29:29 <miabbott> for example, the coreos folks have a tracker issue that lists all the changes and they take time in community meetings to discuss ones that appear to directly affect iot
16:29:45 <pbrobinson> jlinton: yes, I saw that, I was going to reach out to him
16:29:55 <miabbott> #link https://github.com/coreos/fedora-coreos-tracker/issues/1626
16:30:18 <pbrobinson> miabbott++ that's a good idea
16:30:18 <zodbot> pbrobinson: Karma for miabbott changed to 1 (for the release cycle f39): https://badges.fedoraproject.org/tags/cookie/any
16:30:40 <miabbott> there's a <John-web-chat> in #fedora-iot right now...perhaps that is johnv from renesas?
16:30:44 <pbrobinson> does someone other than pwhalen wish to take a lead on that?
16:31:21 <miabbott> i'll sign up for the F40 tracker issue
16:31:51 <pwhalen> #action miabbott to create F40 change tracker for IoT
16:31:57 <miabbott> 👍
16:32:24 <pwhalen> #topic 5) ==== General Bugs ====
16:33:12 <coremodule> I like that you've added this section to the meeting pwhalen, good idea
16:33:15 <pwhalen> We had someone encounter an issue I had not seen, thanks miabbott for pointing to the troubleshooting docs. Should we create a link in our docs for now?
16:33:17 <coremodule> *great idea
16:34:07 <pbrobinson> pwhalen: big yes
16:34:08 <pwhalen> ah, I see miabbott is already going to do that
16:34:12 <miabbott> heh
16:34:30 <pwhalen> ok, any other bugs/issues not discussed?
16:35:25 <miabbott> nothing specific, but we are due for a larger review of the issues in the iot-distro tracker and making sure all are getting the right attention
16:36:10 <pwhalen> I'll add that to our agenda for next week.
16:36:45 <miabbott> i think we should encourage folks to review the issues outside of the meeting as well and see if there are obvious ones to act on
16:37:06 <miabbott> even if it is a simple comment like "is this is still a problem on F39?"
16:37:47 <pbrobinson> yup, makes sense, probably also worthwhile going through the old BZ ones if there's any
16:37:51 <pwhalen> Sounds good to me
16:38:54 <pwhalen> #info Please review open issues listed in https://github.com/fedora-iot/iot-distro/issues
16:39:07 <pwhalen> #topic 6) ==== Open Floor ====
16:39:13 <pwhalen> Anything for open floor today?
16:40:54 <pwhalen> #endmeeting
