Move each either to the 'to edit' (finished) or to the 'in progress' (needs more work) and provide feedback. 15:15:37 #link Board: https://teams.fedoraproject.org/project/asamalik-fedora-magazine/kanban 15:16:01 @glb still has the one REVIEW articles assigned and scheduled but held until 22 Oct #378 MAKE MORE with Inkscape Papercraft 15:16:01 This is really done. 15:17:06 Things are looking pretty sparse for next week 15:17:25 #topic 4/ Articles to edit 15:17:25 #info Looking at the 'to edit' column, assign an editor and a cover image creator. 15:17:25 #link Board: https://teams.fedoraproject.org/project/asamalik-fedora-magazine/kanban 15:17:43 Article #359 MAKE more with Inkscape Stroke Fonts Scheduled for 1 Oct 15:17:43 Article #385 Docker and Fedora 35 rlengland to edit Scheduled for 19 Oct week of F35 release 15:18:47 Perhaps a sweep through the In Progress will turn up some thing for the near term 15:19:03 #topic 5/ Publishing schedule 15:19:04 #info Looking at the 'queued' and 'to edit' columns, decide the publishing schedule for the next week period. 15:19:04 #info If there is not enough content, we might also need to look at the 'in progress' or even the 'article spec' columns come up with additional content. 15:19:04 #link Board: https://teams.fedoraproject.org/project/asamalik-fedora-magazine/kanban 15:20:22 #proposed PUBLISHING SCHEDULE: Fri 01 Oct 2021: #359 MAKE more with Inkscape - Stroke Fonts (image: DONE, edit: @glb) -- Mon 11 Oct 2021: #385 Docker and Fedora 35 (image: DONE, edit: rlengland) -- Tue 19 Oct 2021: #387 What's new in F35 Workstation announcement (image: DONE, edit: TBD) -- Fri 22 Oct 2021: #378 MAKE MORE with Inkscape – Papercraft (image: DONE, edit: @glb) 15:22:27 +1 :-) anyone else :-) 15:22:36 #agreed PUBLISHING SCHEDULE: Fri 01 Oct 2021: #359 MAKE more with Inkscape - Stroke Fonts (image: DONE, edit: @glb) -- Mon 11 Oct 2021: #385 Docker and Fedora 35 (image: DONE, edit: rlengland) -- Tue 19 Oct 2021: #387 What's new in F35 Workstation announcement (image: DONE, edit: TBD) -- Fri 22 Oct 2021: #378 MAKE MORE with Inkscape – Papercraft (image: DONE, edit: @glb) 15:23:01 #topic 6/ Editor of the Week 15:23:01 rlengland would like not to be EOW next week. 15:23:35 no takers, I see... 15:23:46 #info rlengland will be Editor of the Week next week 15:24:16 #topic 7/ Open floor 15:24:42 well don't all talk at once :-) 15:25:09 At the risk of repeating myself: 15:25:12 Topic is “How to handle serial articles” 15:25:12 Repeat from last 2 weeks, for the record: 15:25:12 Not certain using subtasks for serial articles is going to work. I haven’t found a good way to make the status (In Progress, Review, To Edit) visible on the KanBan dashboard. You need to look at each card with sub-tasks to see what their status is. 15:25:12 Also it is possible to assign an editor to the main task as well as to the sub task. This might be handled by documentation but is also a bit confusing. (I fear we are starting to bend a tool to a task for which it was not designed and there could be a breaking point where there is more confusion than benefit. :-/ ) 15:25:15 And...the podman script “magazine-schedule” does not “see” items that are sub-tasks. 15:25:51 I still haven't look at git to see if it would be any better per TheEvilSkeleton's suggestion 15:26:25 and I declare this meeting over by unanimous consent 15:26:45 #endmeeting
