I got the final snakemake 8 packages shipped before I was traveling for a week and a half. In the next week or so, I hope to prepare snakemake 9 for Rawhide.

There are some internal breaking changes that affect plugins, and it’s not always trivial to tell which plugin versions belong with snakemake 8 vs 9 (and there are *so many* packages to keep track of), so I expect to simplify things by just making a hard cut-off, and not updating snakemake in pre-F43 stable branches unless something is broken.
