13:06:33 <brainycmurf> #topic Add Terminal by default to the dock
13:06:35 <brainycmurf> #link https://pagure.io/fedora-workstation/issue/439
13:06:37 <brainycmurf> Requested by Jens. Neal sees it as a reasonable request and they've done it in KDE spin as well. Neal's only concern is we might soon run out of space in dock when runnning on lower resolution. Allan says that historically the dock contains most common applications that are used by majority of our users. So he's not in favor as he doesn't see a Terminal app as something that is used by majority. Also he says that
13:06:42 <brainycmurf> dock is customizable/editable so anyone can add edit it if needed. There's a "common" shortcut to run the default terminal - Ctrl + Shift + T, but that one doesn't work out of the box in GNOME and Michael thinks that it should be fixed (Super + T, Super + Alt + T). Kalev thinks that these kind of changes are exactly what WG should be deciding - if this request would come from the community our users and not out of
13:06:47 <brainycmurf> the working group then he would be in favor and now agrees with Allan. Neal thinks that when adding Ptyxis as the default terminal then it will get nicely promoted through the dock and we would promote all the container goodies through it. Chris mostly in favor and likes the idea with Ptyxis. Group also talked about if doing the change now for GNOME Terminal, but then things might break when replacing the default
13:06:52 <brainycmurf> terminal with Ptyxis and how the situation would be handled.
13:06:54 <brainycmurf> #topic power-profiles-daemon was archived, should we replace power-profiles-daemon with tuned?
13:06:58 <brainycmurf> #link https://pagure.io/fedora-workstation/issue/393
13:07:00 <brainycmurf> Kalev in favor as there are more people working on TuneD. Neal is favor because of what Kalev said and also OEMs are in favor. Tomas is in favor. Christian Hergert privately raised things that should be measured in tuned to check its performance and power consumption effectiveness and these things shouldn't be put under the table if this is approved. Michael will update the ticket (no objections from working group).
