15:31:34 <brainycmurf> #topic Announcements, follow-ups, status reports
15:31:36 <brainycmurf> I said I would investigate making apps handle lack of yelp better, but I haven't yet
15:31:38 <brainycmurf> Chris wanted to create a new ticket to track lazy preemption - has that happened?
15:31:40 <brainycmurf> Nothing was opened, because it already has been enabled by default starting with 6.14 kernel available in Fedora 42, but it will get into all supported Fedora and x86_64 and risc-v only.
15:31:43 <brainycmurf> Fedora Packaging Duties within the Display group at Red Hat - starting with next week we wil have 2 members of the Display group (starting with Jan Grulich and Nieves) available on the workstation Matrix channel and working on gnome-sig related packaging - their duty will be 4 weeks long and then another 2 team members will take over. The people on duty should be the main points of contact for anything packaging related. More
15:31:48 <brainycmurf> information will be shared in the following weeks on the workstation channel.
15:31:50 <brainycmurf> Some discussion around Packkit and kde tooling
15:31:52 <brainycmurf> #topic Open Floor
15:31:54 <brainycmurf> Installer accessibility ? I saw some discussion
15:31:56 <brainycmurf> Neal is investigating the accessibility of the installer and hits issues with lorax (removing files) and other things and also mentions that GNOME Kiosk struggles with/lacks accessibility and he will connect with the Display group at Red Hat as they're working on this as well (https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-82900 for reference)
15:32:00 <brainycmurf> Wayland-only GNOME
15:32:04 <brainycmurf> The ongoing discussions are not that heated as they were in the past. According to Neal the valid point coming out of the discussion is that support for the monitor color calibration on Wayland is lackluster in GNOME.
